No brainer. Dawg. I'll take that one step further & say something that will probably drive some folks around the bend: there's a pretty substantial number of people that I know wherein, given the choice, I'd save my dawg over them.
Well, because your pet is like family. Would you save a total stranger dog before a human stranger? That would be a more apt question.
I would not save either--too many of both already living on Earth. I would, however, take videos and sell it to highest bidder news organization so they can claim "exclusive film". And I would profit from it. That would make my day........lol
Forget my dog, the anaerobic gram positive bacterial species growing in the lumen of my colon are more important than you are. Your point was crystal clear. You're the one bringing up ridiculous analogies making a false equivalence between killing humans for sport and killing "sentient" creatures. People should return the favor to you and do exactly as you do to them. Given a choice, in a house fire the fire department should save a dog before your kids/family/you. Even a stray dog that was wandering by should be saved first. If you've got a 5 year old kid, throw him aside and go get the dog first. After all, you value your dog more than human lives so why should the fireman not do exactly as you do onto others? Return the favor and have the same morality as you do. You've decided a dog matters more. Don't be a selfish hypocrite about it. Your family should be treated just the way you would treat someone else's family in the same situation. After all, you're strangers to the fireman. Many times dogs perish because the fireman saves the people first. Should we change the policy to saving dogs before humans? You should write your congressman and tell them this. Or is it simply that your family is more important than everyone else's family and deserves special treatment? And why just dogs? What about cats? Do you have any rabbits/guinea pigs or maybe goldfish the fireman should save first and then come back for you and your family? Nature is not moral. It's an inanimate object. It's a description of an environment. But people can care and be moral. You say there's morally no difference at all between killing an animal and a human? I'll remember your absurd logic that next time I run over an opossum over with my car or god forbid run over a 5 year old child in the street. Morally no difference at all according to the new age "science" logic. When I run over someone's kid, I'll simply tell the parents humans are a virus on the planet and I killed one more! At least I didn't hit a dog! And then I'll lecture the parents telling them how humans are overpopulated and it's better I hit their kids instead of some poor animal and how an animal is more important to the ecosystem than their child Heavy sarcasm here obviously. If you actually thought for a second how psychotic this type of logic is maybe you'd actually change.
Karma is real, is bigger than any of us, and doesn't give a flyin fornication who you are. Whether it's Newton sayin for every action, there's an equal and opposite REaction... Do unto others as you would have them do unto you... Or whatever... Pay it forward is my motto. Has served me well these past almost 60 years. Karma will either give you a happy and fulfilling life, Or squash you like a bug. Your choice.
We all make our choices. Dood, you're blithering. You're also full of yourself. You say "Nature is not moral." You can't prove that, ergo you don't know that. You're merely regurgitating the tripe from high school philosophy 101. As for your belief in that "people can care and be moral"......? Paging captain obvious for that bit of brilliant insight. The reality is that the oft-seen flip/evil/dark side of your fantasy Capt Kangaroo-ville is genocide, mass murders, rapes, killing for sport / pleasure & preying on children for pleasure (paging wayne the insaaaaane) occurs with & emanates from humans. No one is psychotic here, although you toss that phrase around like you do wayne's Fruit of the Looms. You do display a disturbing chunk of blind faith in homo sapien.
Lol witches and voodoo doctors who practice witchcraft and play around with demonic spirits believe in karma. People are so blind lol. Yeah people are basically dogs these days eating the crumbs of life. If I saw a dog killing a baby id just let it run its course since I dont want to go to jail for animal cruelty.
My shepherd is loyal and a great dog! Not even a ? I'd save my dog, Don't owe anyone anything! Plus my girls would be very upset!
You missed the point, dingbat--TO NATURE there is no difference if a baby or a dog dies or an opossum. None- zero-nada. To your human LAWS, there is a difference, but, as I said in my quoted post--that is because we are humans.
Let's say you had a friend and there was a fire at his house while your girls were there? Would you have a beef with your friend who went and got his dog first in a fire and left your girls and they perished because of that? Would you say "I'd do the same thing bro. Dogs come first. I understand". Do onto others as you wish done onto you. That person your leaving to die is a human and is someone's child/father/mother ect. Sorry I'm not that familiar with road kill as I don't eat if for dinner like Yankee in his trailer park probably does.
