I (we) really don't. I was probably the one when we were younger who was more gung ho about having kids but as time went on having the freedom to do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted was too nice a lifestyle to pass up. I work with special needs kids so I still get a taste of it. When I look at most of my friends lives I definitely know that we made the right call. Everyone is either always working their a$$ off, doing school activities, chauffeuring, going to Disney World instead of South Africa, looking worn out and so on. Our population is already ridiculous, not to mention the real threat of a mental illness and on a selfish note I really still enjoy my wife's tone body. And yes....we've had a lot of dogs!

just found out I have a labrum tear in my left shoulder. been with it for five years now and just been dealing with it.

put off mri until January so I don't get cut up until may/june next year so I'm back by winter ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Same here among other damage. Been dealing with it. Doesn't stop me from surfing most days. It doesn't hold up well on big days though, the paddling burns it out and the strength of the wave has pulled it out of the socket / dislocated it. Surgery scares me. If I can avoid it I will.
