We have waves but moderate onshore wind, I passed on it. I'll check later.

back from a 10 day Peru trip. Surfed in Chicama, checked out Pacasmayo and Puemape but didnt score them.

We were in between any kind of southern hemi swell for the middle 5 days, but we caught the very tail end of a long period swell at the beginning and a really decent swell hit the last 2-3. I hate reef booties, so had some pretty tore up feet by the end...long rocky walk to the take off sections of the point, and the entry/exit were always sharp, rocky, and took several minutes. Rode my 6'2" Ashton bat tail quad the whole time which was a good board for this wave - long soft walls that just keep coming at you. The "ride-back" service offered by every local with access to a boat turned the wave into a big circle jerk at times, which these pics don't show. Still, i got some of the best lefts of my life on this trip.

wheres the lack o logic? Vicodin is an opiod and is derived from the same plant as morphine and heroin. The fact that doctors prescribe it doesn't make this fact illogical, or make it safe to use for pain management.

Got my first PNW session this week since uprooting and moving west. Skunk factor was high and Ive been recovering from a set of bruised/cracked ribs for the past few weeks so paddling was interesting and agonizing.

Conditions weren't good, but I managed to scrape together a few fun ones. Stoked to explore what the region has to offer in the coming years.

Yeah...temporary partial repairs where the roads (even the pan american highway) were completely washed out for hundreds of meters in multiple locations between Trujillo and Chicama, and between Chicama and Pacasmayo.

Super fun this morning... waist to chest wind swell and light offshore. Blue skies, warm air and the water felt a lot warmer today. Only a couple of guys out by me and nobody within 100 yards on either side.
Couple of hours in and out of the water by 830.

    Lots of bait gettting smashed

The fact that it is a prescription med, i.e., approved by EVIDENCE based medicine/FDA, does in fact make it safe AND effective for use in pain management. Weed has no evidence at all to back it up--NONE, for management of ANY dis-ease. It has NOT been approved for management of anything.
Misuse of any product, opioid or any other, is up to the consumer.
Hey, I used to smoke weed when young; I enjoyed it. But after a certain age, you had best back off. Take it from an old timer who enjoys cross-posting with you. Now, STFU and go surfing. <grin>

+1.......some of those lefts were a blast, when they weren't shutting down on my noggin. Worth the drive out there.

That water was effing cold on the digits. Conditions were mo' bettah earlier, before that semi-crowd & those SUPs showed up. You caught some super nice rights, thumbs up.

Dude, that's awful. I would go crazy if I didn't surf something at least every week or so. Even in the dead of our super flat south Florida summers I manage to find something. Gonna go hit the choppe in a few.

Black Rip Curl suite with dark blue accents, short boart, good surfer, doesn't say too much in the water, give waves get waves aware of others always shows respect to others......that be you...

Yah, those groms were pretty funny. It was like someone released a bunch of paddling pidgeons.

i didnt believe in the medi aspects of weed and thought it was a loop hole until my mom used it for treatment of her breast cancer.

she couldnt sleep from the steroids, couldnt eat without puking etc,

2 hits of the vape pen and she ate a big meal and was out like a baby. No evidence for management of any disease? saw it first hand from the woman who brought me into this world. her pharmaceuticals were killing her, and the herb helped her out of it.

additionally her friend in the chemo warde put cbd oil on her tumor on her left breast twice a day for 3 weeks and it shrunk dramatically. come on man open up your mind a bit there is plenty of scientific medical studies and evidence and such

always enjoyed the cross posting homie your a buddy in my book

and thats all i gotta say about that on this sacred thread, if we wanna debate weed vs pharmies we can take it to our own
