Might cost you a few hundred to see a derm if no insurance. What's your life worth to you? I have had 3 friends with melanoma. And a friend's dad died from either basal cell or squamous cell. It ate through face into the brain.
I know you are probably sooo right, Ms Betty. I respect you more than you know. I probably got all manner of stuff brewin inside me that don't anybody, includin me, know about. I might have stuff they ain't even invented yet. I'm liable to be the dude who checks out with zero warning or explanation. I only hope it's during some nice surf and I'm getting barrelled when it happens. Toss my ashes out at the 25th Street pier. Until then, maybe karma keeps me around.
I was gonna say I hope I go while havin fun with the friendly neighbor lady, but that would suck for her. So, barrelled, it is.
I'm guessing the percentage of people that die while having fun are in the minority. More often than not it happens when you either you're not having fun (working), can't have fun any more (crippling accident, age, etc) or you feel like sh!t while trying to have fun (like when my friend kept surfing with lymphoma up until the day he was just too weak...died a couple months later). Anyway, I don't have insurance, either. I have the obamacare/free insurance they offer here in CA, but it's quite flawed and they usually take months to get anything big stuff accomplished. So bad, in fact, I didn't trust them to handle my knee and paid cash out of pocket to get it scoped elsewere (have to keep that stuff on the DL because if the state finds out I scraped up the money, they'll supposedly revoke my free insurance).
The sand runs out of the hourglass for all of us, ceppy - - your'un is starting to wind down. Just thought I'd mention that. Have a good Monday!
I have an appointment with mine this afternoon. Has anybody ever cancelled their derm appointment due to sunburn?
