Going to Miami for Xmas and going to spend the weekend too.

    Should I take my board?

What is the chance of having some waves?

    Thx.

just keep your eye on the forcast, odds that there's waves are slim, and with good winds even slimmer. with such limited available fetch and a small angle for northern swells and poor bathamtry the surf is pretty narrow

    Thanks.

I was even going to get a new board for this occasion but, I'll pass.

Ft. Pierce is about 2 hours from Miami and is just far enough north to catch a more consistent swell...

in the winter time, I'd say South Beach gets decent waves, maybe 1 or 2 days every couple weeks. I wouldn't put money on it, but it maybe find some place to rent a board in case there is surf. Surfing clear, 85 degree water, is definitely nice.

I would definitely bring a board, you could get some wind chop that time of year.

i live in fort lauderdale, odds for waves are small, like i said keep an eye on it, if there is swell, then bring your board, but don't count on anything
