Yes we are "free" this century, but a bit less free than last century, which was less free than the century preceeding it, which was less free than the century preceeding it.....on and on and on.......

And we can thank politicians for that loss of freedom, both sides on the aisle.
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions". Thomas Jefferson.

Happy 4th, but keep that in mind boys........

    Well spoken Barry.

Thoughts towards your brother who died for our freedoms. May he rest in peace.

Just got back from lunch. Live music from a one man band was good. I started with a margarita on the rocks, no salt. Then switched to Corona and stuck with it for the session. My grouper sandwich was tastey. America, F yeah!

Unless it was the boys on that slave ship dropping watermelon in the ocean as you previously stated, probably on their way to Monticelo. We are free as fock, look at the dumb **** we post!
    Happy 4th everyone, be safe

Just got back from a walk around the neighborhood. Good to see folks having a good time with their families and enjoying the 4th of July. People went all out this year on the fireworks, some professional stuff on display. It wasn't like this last year, or even the last 8. It's nice to see againe.

Perhaps, but remember this, you are free to be dumb. And I see you exercise it with due regularity.
It is commonly known that to judge a historical figure (such as Jefferson, et al) extemporaneously is the biggest error historians make. You cannot judge the slave practices of his times with your way liberal thoughts of today. It makes you, in turn, a slave to subjective thinking and lousy logic. History is subject to context.
Must I educate all you morons and dullards on what you failed in elementary school??
    Kids today......
