Not sure how many have been able to watch, but it is certainly worth checking out the replays. Jordy's 20 and JJF going down to Morias in the quarters have been insane. It is certainly the best contest I've seen in a while... but more importantly:

Is J BAY the best right hand wave in the world? Is it the BEST wave in the world? Do you think you could surf it (ie stay ahead of the sections)?

Are you attempting to repeal and replace the original J Bay treade?

Of course it is trying to replace the original JBay tread: its ego demands it.

I wonder that exact thing watching that wave, being goofy footed. I think with the right board yeah probably some of the time, but you ask two different things, IMO. Could i stay ahead of the sections? yes, maybe. Sure would love to try! Could I SURF the wave. Not really. Really surfing that wave meaning drop into the flats, come up and crack the lip, float the sections that are running away from me, spot a barrel section coming and stall to get in and then gun my way out of it. No way. I'd just be goofy backside pumping and gunning down the line the entire time.

As far as is it the best wave in the world....who knows...might be. It sure as hell is a gem.

Damn... sorry. Been busy at work and didn't check first. I, like the orange one, need to learn that I can't just dictate new treades... I need the rest of the crew to come along. I'll repost on the correct one.
