    o barry

I liked them when I was young but as I got older they started to sound like a rock 'n roll boy band.

All the more reason to do so......and he wasn't an artist--he was a loser. Good bye , loser!!
I have zero sympathy for suicides, dude. Zero.

He probably killed himself because he knew OJ Simpson is being released and he thought he OJ would kill him....

O Barry... I know you're just being Barry... Being a pharma guy don't you have empathy for people dealing with depression? I don't know the situation, but my guess is he was.
And doesn't it just show you that all the $ and success doesn't buy happiness (for everyone... It would buy a fuk load for me)

Yeah, but lets be honest, who really cares?? Did you know him??
I don't share the worlds sorrow of some remote death. That is pathological in itself.
Death is normal, no matter how it happens.
    And yes, probably depression.

You cried and played Elton John music when Princess Diana died. You can admit it, no one's judging.

That's kind of deep Barry... I can dig it.

My only wish there was that it would have been Elton John that died, not Di.
    But who cares even there.
Funny though, that you still are thinking about it.......

I really don't care in the sense of it affecting my life... But I do feel bad for anyone that cannot find happiness.
I know death is normal, but I would hope that before someone dies they were happy and did not suffer (for most of their life)

It's just sad when someone is suffering so terribly that they feel death is more appealing.

Agreed. And you express it cogently.
And yes...I like stirring the pot. I think we are all getting somewhat boring recently.
    ROAD TRIP!!!!!

Barry you are such a piece of sh!t. I don't participate in the forum any more but I actually logged back just in to call you out on being such a massive douche canoe. My best friend blew his brains out 2 years ago. No I don't want your sympathy, I just expect the bare minimum - be a decent f**king human being and have some respect for the dead.

Whiner. One of my great friends also killed himself. So you are right--no respect for the dead--they are dust.
See? It works every time. Stirring the pot. And morons respond....go figure.

Oh, lee, as an edit....Joseph Stalin is "dead"; Adolf Hitler is "dead"...should I respect them, just because they are dead??

Never liked lincoln park...mostly because of the stupid rapper/second singer dude they insisted on effing up their music.

However, that EP chester did with Stone Temple Pilots is pretty damn good...highly recommended drive home after surf sesh music.

I just don't get this,im driving home from work and I hear them say chester benington, and usually when they say a name is a soft voice they are about to say dead.

right now I know of 6 different people(friends) that died this week so far,not everyday friends but people I used to hang with and lost touch over the years.

then u hear about a successful musician taking their life like this guy and chris cornell,it just stuns me.i can only think is it because of a girl?i do not know, but they say depression, and depression usually comes from getting dumped by ur love.

    real shame,rest in peace buddy

I'll have to check that out. I'm a huge STP fan. Saw them with Scott a bunch. Then turned down a chance to see them with Chester.....i liked linkin parks hybrid theory (i think. The first album. Whatever had crawling on it.) cd as a kid. But in my mind him and STP just didn't go together. I never even gave it a shot, which is odd for me when it comes to music. Regardless, the guy had a unique voice and style. Sad to see him go
