What if you're trans but do not want surgery, which is the case for most trans people, will you still be banned?

Why not just exclude the surgery from the list of medical benefits, but allow trans people to serve?

That is huge amount of money for a limited number of people with a mental illness. I agree they shouldn't allow taxpayers to pay for a biological man to become an elf and this includes obamacare subsidies. IF they exlcude the surgery and they want to serve, that would work. The only problem is that these people aren't mentally stable and that isn't a good trait for a soldier.

Transgenders have the highest suicide and depression rates.

Many often even regret surgery after the fact.

They are not mentally stable.

And calling me mentally ill is not an argument.

Stick to the facts.

They are confused and therefore do not belong in combat situations where other lives may depend on them.

 

No PinTailAss, but calling for someone to be banned from speaking their mind, no matter how offensive, is wrong unless they are calling for violence.
