People who put their dog on a surfboard or skateboard are idiots but I'll take a dog over a person any day.
Ha ha, this might be a little over the edge, but sometimes I hold breath when I walk by people because I don't want to breathe in their funk.
My dog has actually jumped out of my car and swam out to me in the lineup. Took a few waves in. Although she likes the board to herself not shared with me. And she also dives underwater to get rocks.
90% of dogs that meet i can get along with ,But 90 % of people i meet i can't stand to be around too long . i rather hang with the dogs , a lot less BS .
I definitely like dogs more than people. No ulterior motives in a dog unless food driven, which I get. Just had to put our dog down about a month ago, way sooner than expected. Never in my life has anything gotten to me like that. I've lost countless people, but the connection that I lost that day is unforgettable. Better to burn out than fade away I guess....
Yes, I can always say that about ALL my family members. Obviously, and based on YOUR posts, your family hates you. And I can see why..... You demonstrate the exact pathological thinking I mentioned; you love your dog more than your family - that is pathological.
Neil young quote? I love that song. Dogs are totally more likeable than people. But i got to say. I love walking into a bar and seeing a few dogs. Why? Because i hang out with the dogs and ignore all the people. What i really hate is when people bring 1 or 2 year olds out to the bar. I get just because you had s kid doesn't mean you can't go out and have fun. But get a damn baby sitter. If you can't get a sitter, then grow up and except the fact that you have other more important responsibilities
We had to put one of our dogs down last year. It was a sudden thing and bothered me as well. At times, I wondered whether having a dog was worth going through that.
What I really dislike and find inexcusable is fathers bringing their young daughters into the men's restroom to stand next to daddy while he and other men urinate. Seen that at baseball stadiums.
Don't try that in North Carolina. People will throw bibles at you and demand to see your birth certificate.
I'm back from the ban incase anyone has noticed lol I'm an animal lover, love all kinds of animals.a lot of dogs are different,i agree tho most of them surfing dogs don't look too thrilled. my dog likes to always run in the water and bite at the shorebreak,im sure my dog could probably swim, but I don't let her out to the point she has to swim.shes a big dog and I imagine it would be pretty sketchy trying to save a big german shepherd that's acting erratic. however I been at the beach before in the dead of winter, during a legit swell lol,and seen some guy throw a big stick in the ocean, pretty far,and his dog would go out and retrieve it.and the guy did so for probably 2 hours.i felt scared for the dog but he was loving it
I'll just leave this right here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxwGzpd1PQk
Taught my lab who was in the water at 10 weeks. At 6 months she was learning on a soft board digging her claws in. She never looks terrified, actually both my dogs dig it. She's also trained to go out and retrieve if there's a surfer who is unresponsive. Great peace of mind for big solo surf days. #sharkbait My pit mix digs surfing behind the boat too.
