They are indeed. Were I a man of leisure in surf starved NH, I'd ponder taking a two hour drive southwards. SI Forecaste technical question - there's always some drift between the sidebar predicted surf and the top graph predicted surf. Why is that? If the sidebar shows 5-8 in the PM, shouldn't that show up on the top chart? Currently the graph tops out at just over 5'.
AM looks damn good. ill be dusting off my 6'3 for a 5-8pm session. 1-3' overhead, less than 5mph winds.
The buoy readings aren't necessarily going to equal the height of breaking waves. 5' at 14 or 15 seconds is going to be well overhead.
I actually thought of that, but there is only one place worthy of travel to and that would be Ruggles. But, on second thought, I imagine all of MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, VT, Quebec, NH will be out there. Not worth it.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised the guy who only surfs within a short drive to his house thinks RI has as few breaks as NH.
Ruggles is the ONLY one worth a 3 hour drive. The rest suck. Again, seems you have problems with comprehension.
Yes, I'm sure the guy who lives 3 hours away is definitely an expert on RI. Totally checks out. Anyways, enjoy another day sitting around complaining while the days slowly slip away. Have fun out there everyone else.
Man... RI is holding. My guess is Barry is coming down and hopes to convince everyone there is nowhere but Ruggles. The good thing about RI is that the really good waves are still generally uncrowded. Ruggles is fun, but its about 5th on my list for RI waves.
yewww i cant wait to surf with a 1000 strangers!!!!! I love hurricane season!!! yewww bring your soft tops , and sups. so stoked!!!!!! (shoot me in the face).
I have myriads of other interests as well; if a good wave shows up, I will be there, but RI is not worth the trip. If I travel 3 hours I will take a plane to a mo' betta place....much mo' betta. Have done RI a lots in decades past, but not worth the time; not much different than here. Now get back to work; your kid needs the money. And you need to pay those Social Security taxes to finance my pocket change for the month.......thank you.
I'm bringing my tow-in rig to 3rd Beach - see you there. Hey, at least a soft top hurts less when the surfer ditches it.
