I spent all my money on erectile dysfunction meds and pumps. All I've ever could afford were scooters.
well I can say I never had a car that I actually wanted.been driving clunkers for years lol.\\ lets see I had 2 different 91 geo prismz, tranny went 2 times on the same car,it was retarded.happened when I was in school so I somehow drove the car like 50 miles to my school in first gear and had the auto shop fix it for free.fixed it and 3 months later, went again... had an old integra, one of the cylinders went lol.had an old Honda accord, cooling system failure.had this piece of crap 01 ford Taurus, thing had so many things wrong with it,no powersteering, frame was twisted from getting rear ended at a red light, various other problems.thing lasted for 350k miles. I was never a car guy,my brother lives and breathes that stuff, how some of us are obsessed with surfing is how he is with cars.i always wanted a nice car,but seeing my brother spend years and 10s of thousands to build up a nice car only to have somebody clip u on the road made it not worth it to me.i drive a car that u can bang ur door into it,key it,hit me I don't care lol,as long as it gets me from point a to point b I am happy
I started working on my own vehicles at a young age. Mostly for fun and out of necessity, as mechanics charge too much. Never been to a mechanic, but have had friends help me if worst came to worse. One of them is a mechanic. Working on my vehicles also gave me confidence in being able to do work on things around the house, like plumbing, carpentry, simple electric work, etc.
Yes, something like that but not the super sport. Mostly a stock option car with a few modified tweaks. For me cars where easier to work on then but I couldn't fix a bent frame. Did most of the work in auto shop in HS. After that I mostly drove beater wagons. I always wanted to modify a hearse...
Always been car crazy since before high school. Got my first dream car in a 1982 Mustang GT. Took out the engine, bored balanced, cammed,, 4 barrel, exhaust etc to the powertrain. Lowered it, custom 16 enkies, saleen body kit. Loved that car and would have kept it but it started to rust so I sold that and got a 1991 Mustang GT convertible in 1996. In 2015 I traded my PR surf trip to get the brand new Mustang GT in magnetic metallic. Its a blast. My son and I go to car shows, run it in the quarter mile down in bradenton and just plain have a blast with this thing. I have over 10 modifications to it but mostly mild things so it doesnt look ricer. Here is a youtube we put up of our mods filmed by my son who is 11. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I kept the 91 vert and promised it to my son on his 16 birthday. https://youtu.be/fz6AG1sEIIc
always thinking ahead (not really), i'm expecting to have this Mercedes G Wagon in about 10 years. not sure why i'm so set on this, always did catch my eye. i think new would cost $100k, so i'll wait 10 years until it gets to about 15k
Always been a car guy but drawn to classics. New cars just lack a little something no matter the cost. My dad built a Shelby Cobra replica that was an absolute blast to drive. A sound that's addicting for sure. Working on a couple of my dream cars. Making a Grand Wagoneer a reliable daily with late model drivetrain now. Always wanted one.
Given they have become a classic car now, and that there is a raging surfing fad going on, I am surprised Ford hasn't yet brought them back, calling it the Surf Bronco or similar.
