Looks like the Bronco and the Ranger are coming back, 2020 and 2019, respectively... http://www.automobilemag.com/news/ford-bronco-ranger-coming-back-official/
Guess it's a good thing there's nearly nothing Chrysler on a wagoneer. Same AMC platform from 63, body panels and all. All the gas guzzling parts are long since sold off for late model power including fuel injection. Will get 20-25 mpg and it won't depreciate every day I drive it like 99.9% of other cars on the road. The new every 2 mentality isn't for me, I'm not one to throw money in the toilet on a new vehicle when I can make what I want.
If you are able to put one together to work for you, congrats--wish I had those skills!! I can to it with old Triumph motorcycles, pre 1971, , but not cars.
DonQ my ver1st car was a 68 Camaro SS 396. Bought it for $ 5,000.00 when I was 15 Looks pretty close to this car except it had the old Cragar Wheels. Will have to find an old pic of my car.
Haha a prius. that's a sign you don't know what to look for in a car, other than it gets "great mileage" which has proven to be a joke with its estimates anytime i see one of those vans pull up the break, i break out in anxiety. god knows how many groms will come splurging out of those things. we got a lot more showing up here, thanks for Mercedes building those vans here in town. and i got a hunch they won't get you laid now for a supercar, i've always had my eye on a Pagani Zonda , but if i had to go to a factory (and i've been) to choose from then send me to Ferrari. Such appeal, great sound and pure sports car. I drove the Enzo for a block/neighborhood (met some rich hand-me-down guy in Old Smyrna Beach about 15 yrs ago. First time with a paddle shift outside of my Gran Turismo days, and I was abosultely scurred of f'n it up. never been in a car with that much power; it was a toy car - absolutely
If you can figure out a Brit bike it's all a pretty short jump. Plus the shifter is on the wrong side back then. Every vehicle is basically the same system with slight variations for style and era. Other dreams... '59 Impala Wagon Corvair drop side Willy's FC van Shelby Daytona Coupe (even though I'm too tall) '50 Ford Sedan on a decent chassis
The older "bobtail" was my first 4X4, a 1971 dark green with a white top, 302 but just a 3 speed, it would still fly, plowed through mud and snow like a tank. I was offered 3x what I paid for it then bought a new Bronco II.
Old friend restored 350, 450 & 650 Triumph's from the 70 era, chicks loved them ............... I bet you drove some "muscle" cars back in the day ..............
I've been trying to get my photo to load for two days but can't get it to work. Anyway I own my favorite car. Have a 1971 chevelle red with white racing stripes lowered 2" hand built 383 stroker by me, completely custome suspension, custome rear end. Drives like a bat out of hell almost too fast. Ill keep working on getting a picture up soon. I love this car probably have 50k tired up in a car worth realistically 15k lol but it's bad ass
I did drive one...a goat...1964 GTO, cherry red, convertible, black interior, bucket seats with 4 on the floor stick shift. I loved that car. More importantly, so did all the chicks.
man i got caught watching like 3 hrs of his car show the other week. he's a good guy, dig his enthusiasm. better than that bum Letterman
That's pretty sweet! I bet it's worth more than $15k, if you've got $50k into it! I'd love to have an old car like that sitting in my garage, but I just don't have the time. Even with the way I work and having 4 months off a year. My 93 Mustang is pretty much that car for me. I still drive it fairly regularly. I was just thinking how I put about 65k miles on it in just a 1.5 years at one point. And now I've only driven it about 50k miles in the last 9 years and only a little over 20k miles in the last 6 years. It just hit 200k about a little over a month ago, which the odometer rolled back over to 000000 because it doesn't have the extra digit. I've already been through a motor, 2 clutches and one full t-5 transmission, as well as numerous other things. All installed by myself and with the help of some friends on a few of those things.
