wow, nice work man. i was looking for something exactly like that to try to compare, but couldn't find it. good call on the printing. that's definitely a confidence booster.

i was really looking hard at the pictures too, and on the one where it shows the back of the suit, it looks like the hood is attached. it just may be offset really to show something like the xzip setup..?

 

Glad to help....yeah, the hood will be part of flap that comes over and zips on the chest.

Post up what comes on Friday...my delivery is scheduled for Monday. Wonder how many new Xcel 5/4/3's will be in our local lineups this winter?? Just look for the guys the big 's, right?

we should all like celebrate or something...maybe an excel 5/4/3 hooded wetsuit surf session only?

we could make cool patterns out in the lineup based on what color we got, or just segregate ourselves...this could end up ugly...im returning mine.

I got the ash too. In hindsight I probably wouldn't have, but at the time I thought I was getting THE last one. But whatever, so sick overall. And now this thread is officially dead.

Glad i picked one up too. I wasn't at the house when it came and had to go to UPS later that night. Which was a pain..

 

Just wanted to pass out a big "thank you" to those who posted that Whiskey Militia had these suits on sale. Mine came yesterday (another ash) - what a great looking suit.

Not to prolong this thread, but these suits are simply overstock, not "seconds?"

And what happened that Xcel would overproduce a wetsuit model by the hundreds (thousands?)...or is this a common occurrence for a wetsuit manufacturer? From the postings here on Swell Info it seems the Infinity 5/4/3 is a popular model, even without a discounted price.

How cold do you plan on wearing your 5/4/3? It says it has a temp rating of 45, but I thought 5/4/3s like this one would work with colder water than that?

 

it will work in water colder than that. I think Xcel is just hedging.

 

they must be. i wore my infiniti 4/3 in dec/march last year.

 

As of this moment, the 5/4/3 hooded xcel infiniti's are back up on whiskey militia for 185.

 

Just got mine in from the last sale of them!!! Fits so good and feels 2934823 times better than my Rip Curl 6/5/4... but hate that I got butt****ed for $32 shipping.
