for a bachelor party less than a month away, got a night in Wilmington dwntn Thurs night (traveling after work from Folly for those who don't know) & that Friday n Saturday in OBX off of Avalon Pier. not much time on Sunday to do much since it's an 8 hr drive. If there are just two days, what's the surf spots in OBX to hit up? of course we're down the street from Avalon so we'll run by there (hear it's a jungle), but i'd like to hear from you guys to say which are worthy & memorable for such a short time frame - also note a couple guys aren't surfers unfortunately. I'm new to OBX and so are the rest of the guys coming with, any other ideas on bachelor stuff to do there will be whalecome. pretty sure there isn't any stripclubs where we'll be in Nags Head, prolly looking for outdoor stuff, drinking all day. Aware of the other OBX treads, but times have changed since and this is such a short trip - lemme hear from the best on what's the best
The Outer Banks are relatively non-developed for a beach town which is the beauty of it. You have to make your own fun. The main things to do are surf and fish. The surfing and fishing can be very good at times. For the bachelor party, maybe charter an inshore fishing trip or rent jet skis before the drinking begins.
hmm, i'm loading up some green on this trip. everything else is a bit of luxury for us, but i got a couple things i might round up before i go
was just in salvo for a week with my family last week...didn't get out to explore waves but found one sandbar a few blocks up that was pumping on just a 2-4 foot swell with only one or two other dudes on it. i'd let you know where it is, unfortunately it sounds like you won't be surfing also, I was with my family so unfortunately I cant help you with all the other stuff I did find some great places to eat though...boardwok south, mad crabber, bros, Austin's seafood good luck with everything
Lol the coke is sh**ty in KDH. The meth on the other hand is another story. Ask for Rodriguez behind the Food Lion on 3rd St.
This is my area....on the northern beaches, like where you are, beach nourishment has f-ed breaks up. You should go to Bonnet St in Nags Head. Ask around the line-up for a guy named, "Delbert". Ride a party wave with him. For Sunday brunch, go to JJ Brewbakers in Nags Head.
Beware of the Dare County Special. Basically, try not to ride dirty. Don't know your age but you can roll into just about any bar, catch a buzz, confidently approach females and not be a total scumbag and a good time with female companionship can unfold especially with a decent place to after party. Everyone is looking for a good time there imo. Mexican restaurants, the pit, rundown, etc. Screw it, a grocery store. You'll thank me later.
Haven't been to Hatteras island in years but I was curious if they still had, "Brew Thru"? I liked that...
