In between all the storm prep I managed to get some ding repair done. Fixed a hole in my SUP. Gotta have a getaway vehicle if it floods lol
I've been activated here in Charleston. Waiting to see if I'm going to head to florida. We already have people on the way. Yall be safe. Hey if anyone ones to hang out in ctown tonight inbox me.
Can you come and mow my lawn here in NH?? Beer is on me!! Be safe, man.....(and I do not mean wear a condom)
I have a lot of friends and family on the west coast, grew up in Sarasota. That part of florida has not been tested with a direct hit in over 100 years. A *lot* of buildings are old and not up to code, it could be really devastating.
My family and friends are in Clearwater, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Tampa area. It's going to be ugly. Brevard actually seems safe compared to other places I could be at the moment. But we're ready in the event it goes NE after making the turn to the N.
Naw...this storm is going to miss Florida and head to Texas or Luisiana. You will get a few breezes, maybe a few dead illegal immigrants trying to swim ashore, but other than that, you are safe. Break out the Coil, man.
BTW....Hurricane Jose looks interesting to PR in a few days as it moves North, does a circle with plenty of fetch to send PR humungus swell. Anybody interested to meet down there to surf?? Bring your semi-guns or better!!
That would be ideal for FL but suck for Louisiana / Texas, idk though, time will tell. Definitely need to get some waves, tired of the waiting and anticipation of this thing.
This thing seems to be moving super slow... I'm not even near it but still have been waiting in anticipation
Thoughts and prayers are with all our FL peeps. Be wise, safe, and vigilant and keep us posted of your well being (I figure DPSup will be our own version of Jim Cantore). & God speed blasters, may you be a blessing to those in need.
Thanks Cccdog for the well wishes. So far nothing crazy to report here. Just some rain and a little wind. The next 24-48 hours will be more interesting.
seems like south florida is in the thick of it now,i don't even think my peeps had to evacuate, seems like the most destruction is going to happen on the gulf coast.looks like the storm has detoriated a lot
Gusty wind and rain here. Strong band moving through now. Lights have flickered a few times. We've had tornado warnings and there are reports of a few tornadoes in Broward County. Wind gust of 70 recorded at FLL. We're under curfew since 4pm. Expecting it to continue like this through the night and get a bit worse tomorrow. Even though it's not over yet it sure seems like we have dodged a bullet once againe. Might even get a chance to surf on Monday. Hope you west coast folks hang tough and stay safe.
