Very interesting, i don't see a lot of footage of OIB's surfing scene. Not sure why there a lotta shorty boards there, they look clean for some LB action. I mean they're putting in some work to turn and cut, got me tired just from watching it. and i take it that there's not much of a fishing scene over there, that or the pier sux to fish at. but those were so much cleaner than what we had at folly, i could ride those waves all day

I'm not one to break out the shortboard in crap waves but that easily looked shortboardable. I think the drone view made it look quite a bit smaller than it actually was but that still looked WAY smaller than the surf I saw from Irma in other parts of NC. I do wish our piers (Surf City Topsail area) were that chill!! If we got that close in the summer someone would be on the bullhorn immediately screaming at us. Fishing around here is hard core and the pier owners accommodate them every time no matter if we try our hardest to avoid any conflict. Fisherman around here are a$$holes too! I've seen them toss lures at people during a paddleout and they're quick to tattle if you even get kinda close. Hell, sometimes when no one is out fishing we still get hassled. Having said that, this weekend looks amazing!!!

I was out there early Sunday, not as clean but had size chest high. Drone makes it look smaller. Great day for any size board.
