This movie is absolutely terrible, not just surf films, all films. This movie lacks everything from character to soul, to a purpose. It is a waste of time to sit down and watch it. The surfing is good, but it is only like 12 minutes of the film. I understand this movie is supposed to be "different" but it is just down right awful. Everything is scripted, it is very very poorly edited and put together. This movie is a shame.

Of course it's scripted... I can give you a bunch of BB videos that the BB'ers themselves did everything and you get a much more feel for the way they travel and live.

Wow, so I guess the trailer is the most entertainment obtainable from this film? I have to say that the trailer only somewhat interested me. I like surfing films that are like 80-85% surfing; so this one seems like too much existential indulgence for me. At least they're trying to do something different.

I have never been a fan of Machado. I think he makes surfing into to much of a soul searching venture. I see surfing as more then just connecting with nature, more as a healthy activity I do that not many other ppl know how to do...

It's more then just sitting around and hanging out and playing guitar and all this wishy washy bs that machado has been promoting since he left the tour

I can't say I'm a huge fan of the guy personally... because I've never met him.
I have seen him surf countless times and I will say that the guy surfs like he is liquid. His flow is timeless. Like him or not, his surfing is flawless.

Well, the movie is definitely better when you go to a premier and get to shake the real live Rob Machado's hand.... He even signed my report card!

no one surfs like him. he is in total sync with the wave it seems on all waves. such a smooth, refined style.

i thoguht this movie will be like sipping jetstreams, which in my mind, is the best surfing film ever created. i guess not..

i'm with moose though. surfing for me is not some soul searching activity. it's a rush, keeps you very fit, gets you tons and tons of fresh air and definitely gives you a chance to be different;especially surfing in the northeast. and having a relationship with the beach/ocean year round is something that many people don't have and is very very fulfilling.

I never said I did not like Rob. I think he kills it, he can surf any wave on any board and he kills it. That movie was just amazingly hard to watch. This movie sucks, i dont care what anyone says.
