What are you listening to?

Always glad when World B makes an appearance and drops some knowledge!

 

I definately wasn't referring to the industrial sounding bands from that period. I wasn't a huge fun, although saw NIN around 1990 and enjoyed the show.

I'm talking about the twentysomething white guys, one-word-band-name-plucked-from-thesaurus, two jangly guitars-bass-drums, quiet verse/loud chorus formula alt-rock bands that just seemed to proliferate during that few years. CBS Crewsby named a few, here are some more:
Bush, Sponge, Collective Soul, Everclear, Eels, Fastball, Fuel...

I'm sure lots of them paid their dues, but a lot of music sounding a lot like the rest of the music.

I've had this band's music stuck in my head for weeks now, after hearing one of their songs in a surf video. It wasn't this song, but it just fit the mood of the surfing perfectly.

Really cool, intimate setting.
