Balmy evening, sitting on a Gulf coast beach, cold beer in hand, watching a distant lightning storm over the water and hearing the breeze blow through the palms.
Watching the sun come up over a cold ocean, while i'm the only one out, and i'm wearing thick rubber with a hood up. No sound, just the ocean muffled by my hood and the first few sun rays warming my face.
Sitting on my deck after a good surf session, looking at the ocean, with the sun setting behind me, with a vodka and tonic in my hand.
I can put one SMALL one in a pot of chili. I grow them, want some? I mostly give them away. PS, I have a sheet ton right now!
I minced one the other day and threw it in a grilled chicken salade, that was an intense (but extremely enjoyable) salade. I like really, really spicy foods though. A friend of mine gave me a big bag full of reapers and other special varieties of habeneros and extremely hot chiles a few weeks ago, I pretty much dice one up and add it to every single meal I eat. Relevant side note: my brother has a theory that one or more of my 5-10 concussions over the years damaged the part of my brain that perceives spicy. I think he's joking? I hope?
I grow... in order of heatness... Poblano, jalapeno, cayenne, Calabrian. Calabrian chilis are as hot as I like to go. Anything more than that are inedible to me.
The diversity of the answers here is what makes SI great. We like hugs from our kids, and butt sex with hot babes. Just outstanding stuff.
