Pretty much the gold standard when it comes to LB's but curious to see which of you cats own/have ridden one. Possibly picking up a 9-0 magic in a nice puke color and wanted to hear some gushing posts before I fork over the dough ray mi. I perpetually get burned by guys on them in the lineup, those things seem to have afterburners on them.. Thoughts? I sit at your collective feet.
idk what model my walden is but it's 10-0 and a beast. there is a lot of rocker in the tail. i kinda don't like that but i can turn the **** out of it. fwiw..... me and her
Right on! The 9-0 has more of a pintail than squash and is a 2+1 so I'm not positive on the rocker situation. I hope your leg threade was tied on right that day, looks heavy!
Haha Sounds like they really work well! Haven't surfed one, but I have been thinking about buying one for some time.
Waldens are the "Rolls Royce" of the LB world. Things run close to a grand. I'm not ashamed to admit I bought a 9 foot Surfers Allience (pop out) LB for 2 hundo this past summer. That being said, a Walden would be my dream LB. P.S. - Ain't you the cat who didn't have like 2 bills to buy a LB just last week? Now you' re talking about buying a Walden?
I really like the Waldens. Don't own one but habe ridden them. They're nice. In fact the LB i offered you...when i bought it i was also looking at the Walden. Don't remember what made me go against the Walden. Don't remember. I'd actually really like to get a Walden mini magic....i think. Basically the magic model but at like 6'0.
For a while they were the best selling surfboard in the world. I've ridden one and have to say they work best when the waves are good. But by then, I don't want to be riding an LB.
^^^^ I'll second that. Iv only ridden them in chest - shoulder high stuff. Really fun/easy to whip around.
I have the 9 ft magic model and love it. I don't get on a lb much these days. It's what I learned to surf on after failing with an 8ft pop out bort. I'm always su pried when I get back on it by how well it turns. Not the best nose ridder but I think it's because it's built more for progressive surfing.
