Wipeout of the year?

it's not that bad of a wipeout guys. yea it broke his back, but the wipeout looked more fun than cringeworthy imo. stop listening to surfline, they're over playing it. sheep

F that, that was BAD! Hey bailed as the lip was hitting, wave said, NOPE and that thing picked him up and shot him 30 or 40 yards.

 

Any wipe out on waves of that magnitude and any wipeout where you break your back is pretty damn bad in my mind. 99% of surfers will never ever have a wipe out on a wave with that much raw power. Much respect to the guys who charge that stuff.

 

Has to be near impossible to keep your breath in with multiple impacts like that.

I’m also guilty as charged. Being the screw footer that I am, I tend to choose a crap left over a right. With that said, on a wave of that size Iwould definitely opt for the safer route...

theres a video somewhere from mullaghmore Ireland with will skudin and a few other guys,and the one guy gets blown up by the lip 10x worse than Andrew cottons,only difference is it wasn't a 60' wave,but if u never seen anyone get launched u havnt been at it long.i believe the video is on vimeo,im sure I have it saved somewhere but I don't have the time to search for it
