I can honestly say that I may have participated in said "circle jerk".
Do people get banned or infracted for inappropriate language, hazing, trolling, hijacking in said "circle jerk"
For this I feel dirty and ashamed; yet somewhat loyalistic to the cause.

Hey... how about that Donald Trump...huh? Talk aboot jerks..

Life is good for me. Just wish I could get a little more sleep. I’m up in Canada on business, which is a common occurrence for me.

Could use some more surf, but I need more than one day off per week for that!

Father in law passed away a little over a week ago. He'd been home (Rome NY) under hospice care. It was like he had been waiting for all his kids to get there and passed a few hours after our arrival. We were up there 10 days. Despite the circumstances, it was nice having the family together.

Our oldest son will be graduating from ODU next month and then off to Texas n January for his Masters degree. He received a full ride for his Masters program.

Just had a court hearing for our youngest daughter. It was to qualify her for disability social security insurance. She's 20 and special needs. We haven't received the decision yet.

I'll be retiring next Oct. Time to move on. 38 years working for the Navy, active duty and civil service, will be enough.

Working on getting my folks' house ready for market. Must have an estate sale. Dad passed a year and a half ago, and Mom (85) is now in assisted living chasing after and haranguing med carts. She's really been burning through the tennis balls on the legs of her walker.

Watching your folks age (and pass on), caring for them, visiting hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities changes one perspective on life.
Just trying to enjoy each day as it comes.

Yep. My mom had a bout with pneumonia last month that was touch and go for a while. She recovered, but it really brought things into focus on what's important, and family is always top on that list.

Dos, that's real life stuff. I'm experiencing some similar things.. good and difficult. Persevere man and keep fighting the good fight. You have my prayers.

Btw, have you figured out how to maintain access to DN after retirement .. uncrowded beach has some advantages.

Take care and maybe I'll see you in SB on one of my ventures south.

    Peace.

CCD: Retiring from civil service is not quite the same as retiring from the military, so access to the Dam Neck base after I retire may be difficult. May have to start frequenting Croatan and Sandbridge or the north end of VB like my son. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Have her get pneumonia vaccine, if she hasn't already. there are 2 of them--she needs to take both, with time between shots.

Thanks for your service. Hope the Navy took care of you.

My old man died when I was 24...4 years ago. It's unexplainable. I sat next to him as he died out. Hated hearing the death rattle. But that's life I guess. I sure do miss that little kid from Hoboken. Life has been much harder without him around. He had a way of taking care of everyone without us knowing it. Good luck with the house.
