I see what you did there! Am I the only one here that doesn't care for Thanksgiving food? I'll take some string bean casserole, cranberry sauce and that's pretty much all I really like. The desserts are good, too, but I don't care much for turkey, don't like stuffing at all, mashed potatotes are fine, but I also don't like turnips, sweet potatoes, etc. My grandmother made the best sweet potatoes, and I wouldn't even eat them. I'd rather eat turkey in sandwich meat form, but I'll eat a wing or a leg. I never have to worry about gaining weight around the holiday's, since I don't eat more on Thanksgiving or Christmas than a regular old non-holiday Thursday or whatever day Christmas falls on this year. I also closely monitor my calories, but that's beside the point!

I have a couple friends who feel the same way as me about Thanksgiving food, but we're a rare breed. A VERY rare breed.

Thanksgiving delivered this morning. Shoulder high waves, offshore winds and incredibly clear water for New Jersey.

Well... I will be the first to admit that I was wrong!

I thought for sure today was just all hype from the Swellinfo.com admin messing with our heads... it was pretty much flat last night... and already offshore...BUT this morning was head high outta nowhere!

I got out in the afternoon at a presidential spot that I normally don't surf. It was perfect! Peeling all the way to the beach! Guys in the water were saying that it was closing out earlier...must have gotten in at the right time! Rode a new board that I picked up last week, scored a nice little barrel! Can't complain!

    Thankful!!

I think I know the spot your referencing - actually 2 spots look better now then they have in a while- all the while the famous spot hasn't looked good in a while... it's all ok with me!! Just gotta keep up with the reconne!!

Btw- apparently Kelly slater is gonna install a wave pool in Belmar!!

We probably would have fared better at home in Monmouth, but I was down in Cape May, having dinner with my friend’s family. It wasn’t too bad, though.

It was something to ride and shortbortable, which is all I ask for.
