Thanks Kid. Sometime I have these weird, brief moments of clarity. Then I go in the bathroom and vomit and it's gone.

Typical liberal. No adequate response on your part, so be dismissive.

I read your liberal Smithsonian overreaction to the 2016 election. They're just upset that President Trump got elected

Your article says "the disparity in population distribution became a core element of the legislative branch, and in turn, the electoral college".

As I said, it gives the less populated states say in our republc.

Just so happens that the south also owned the majority of slaves.

I will just assume your other two articles are similarly liberal garbage.

Liberal identity politics, politically correct way of discriminating against white men.

that's awesome that you cherry picked one line that somewhat supports your view and discard the rest. i could cite other articles from before 2016 but since you can't be bothered to read them i won't. btw, the washington examiner is a right leaning publication.

i'll believe the main reason you wish to retain the electoral college is because of the last seven elections, the republican candidate has only won the popular vote one time. why should a state that has few people but lots of land have the same say as a more populous state?

and one day you'll learn the ultimate truth of our political system, 'He who has the most money, wins'. Sounds like you're losing.

The best joke ever to be perpetrated on the middle class is coming this Christmas in the form of the Republican tax bill - written by the rich, for the rich, and paid for by suckers like you. Bwahahahahaha!

There are just as many monied liberal politicians as conservatives, so what exactly is your point.

Just another uninformed and subjective opinion.

BTW, how's that Brexit prediction of yours going?

My hero? Not once have I said he was a great president. He just isn't the root of all evil you make him out to be.

Obama has his flaws, just like every corrupt politician before him. Just don't try to make Trump seem like he is above any of it. That's where I take issue.

You avoided my point about creating revenue. You instantly when back to your stand by, trash Obama. You did not address the fact the this countries economy (and my own personal economy) relies on small business, not the mega wealthy. Hence why I have a problem being ruled by them.

Whether they believed in slavery or how they viewed people doesn't change the fact that their framework was intended to keep the power with the people, not the church or elites. They could have believed in purple dragons, doesn't change the fact the constitution was composed to get avoid a strong centralized government with consolidated power for the few. You disagree?

    Cherry picked or summarized?

This is the United States of America. It is a republic, one nation under God, indivisible.

How can the nation remain indivisible when politics are decided by strictly the metropolitan areas?

Remember that the less populated areas are your food source.

The electoral college isn't based off of land mass you dumby. It's based off of census population every 10 years plus two free representatives.

The electoral college was designed so that less populated states are represented in the federal government. To prevent stupid people, like yourself, that live in densely populated areas from being manipulated to believe bad politics. It is not about slavery you moron.

I also read your Washington examiner arriclle. Also a load of crap. ".., why was this unpopular presidential voting system formed and is there any hope for change?" Sounds like this author had an agenda.

I can also cherry pick articles, but I won't bother. I remember learning about this in grade school and it always made sense to me. Not just because it saved our country from the demise of that bunt Clinton

At the most, it says you both enjoy your own echo chambers...

Small business do rule in the USA--Obama set out to destroy them with Obamacare. Sorry, but he did try. If they were the strength of the countries economy, he then believed that is what he should destroy first. He failed for the most part, but did cause many to close their doors.

The founders did set out to prevent centralized government, but obviously, failed., IMMEDIATELY after, the USA was ruled, from day one, as a plutocracy. They set out to install a government for common men, but they defined themselves as common men; they were the plutocracy. One need not be "royal" to be wealthy; in fact, most royal houses were broke and depended on jewish bankers to finance them. Their manner of thought clearly was different than anything you or I think; that does affect and create the very disparity you and I experience. It is the reason why I believe, the Constitution should today be modified to fit the times. All this crap about the Constitution being a document for all ages is a bunch of malarky for grade school students.
Again, despite small business being important, they are and always have been, ruled by the "megawealthy", from July 5th, 1776, until this moment. It will never change, and I do not want it to. For example, do you really want an uneducated poor craphead like Al Sharpton or David Duke as your Prez?? I think not.
