I keep a clean shave at all times to keep my squeaky clean, youthful image in tact. Now that my eyes are going, I look 26 years old in the mirror.

Pogonophobia, aka fear of beards. I do not have Pogonophobia, I would not give you respect in the line up because you have a beard, let alone, a full beard. I think you get respect by your actions.

No beard for me. Always hated facial hair, mostly. I have to shave even more than I used to, as I have a lot of gray now and it's already noticeable after a few days of stubble. I last grew a beard for a few months back in 2012, and I couldn't believe how gray it was. I'm sure it's much worse now. It used to have red and blonde patches, with mostly black, when I let it grow long enough when I was younger. Too much gray now.

 

I like clams with beards. As long as they don't resemble Don King's weave.

 

Beards are definitely for insecure men.
They are a bacteriological heaven.

 

A good one will definitely make you look older. Especially if it's grey... like mine. Respect? I don't know.

 

Beards were like 5 years ago...

I'm not so sure that they 'demand respect' now since it's more of a trendy hipster kinda thing now... maybe 10yrs ago things would be different since no one had one...

Personally I rather have a clean shave, or just a day of growth. Beards get itchy...

 

Shaved head with half-man chew.....not past the bottom of the chin, then you own respect!
