It's so cold, even the sharks are dieing https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5a46c526e4b025f99e1b73cb Not my favorite news outlet, but interesting We could really use some of that global warming that they all talk about right about now...
yea I don't know about that one, theres blind 70 yr old senior citizen sharks living in the coastal community of Antarctica.they are blind because the water is so cold.and great whites like cold water too so. plus florida is just like a 800 mile swim away.
It's crazy what the news media reports these days...they just want to show that animals are dieing due to climate change- and that we should all start driving little cars so we don't polute (while they fly around in private jets!) AnywYs- it was on multiple news outlets... all of them liberal tho so idk... There is a lot of current around the cape, like pretty crazy to navigate by ship. I believe even the Mayflower settlers tried to sail through there and ended up turning around due to near ship wreck- and settled inside the cape. All this to say, there was probably other reasons for the sharks to die other then just 'cold water' unless some kind of strange cold water current mixed with warmer Gulf Stream waters... idk - leave it up to the news to report- it's all trumps fault apparently (but it's really obamas lol)
Okay, here I go again within my biologist function--the threshers feed on fish. The fish population they feed on is drastically reduced this year(normal population deviation). It is evidenced by a die-off of birds (Atlantic terns) all the way the coast to Iceland included, the past couple of years. The ENTIRE chick/fledgling population died off due to lack of food sources. Normally, I see plenty of Atlantic terns--last 2 years NONE; ZERO!! The death of the small fish that feeds the terns, affected the fish populations the threshers eat....up the food chain. Thresher sharks generally stay in open waters; maybe this one was looking for a meal closer in, given the reduced fish population in open water, and then got caught on out-going tide. Cold water killed the shark?? Leave it to the un-informed morons that grew up in Idaho and came East to be "marine biologists". They never saw the ocean and now want to be experts because as a child they saw a Jacques Cousteau TV special. They know nothing.
