Agreed, it is wild west. If young, put some money into it--take a chance; If old, refrain, as one has not much time left to make it back. So goes my philosophy.
I like how the major exchanges were suddenly offline for no clear reason when the price tanked today. It may or may not be a true bubble like tulips or whatever but theres a lot of shady people involved in this area pretending they are on the level.
It's a bubble. And it is not the first, and will not be the last. Which exchanges were "offline" today?? NYSE?? NASDAQ?? I am a day trader and I saw no evidence of that today or any day this week? Or are you referring to bit coin itself??
I prefer traditional gambling so my wife and I are going on a casino cruise for New Years Eve. Big money no whammies!!!
Casino cruise's have the tightest holds on their machines. I would advise not playing slots! stick to roulette & black jack if you must play. not joking!
Slots are fun but brainless. I prefer straight up poker or black jack. Probably hit the tables for a little bit and see how it goes. Maybe do video poker / black jack too. I’m not a big gambler honestly. This will be my first time on a gambling boat. But I’ve been to Vegas 3 times, I usually win enough to blow it all on drinks and eating expensive food. In the end I lose but win at the same time lol the key is to have fun and not go broke over it.
Bro, drinks are free and good food is super cheap in vegas lol. But your last point is paramount..."have fun and don't go broke"!
Not everywhere it’s not. When you gamble you get free drinks but they are watered down typically. A good meal at a nice restaurant cost money. Trust me, I would know lol there are deals to be found but not everywhere.
Yea...been there a number of times. Rarely pay for a drink and you can get a good meal for $20-$30. Like I said, having fun and not going broke (or losing your ass) i agree with. Stocks and especially cryptos are definitely gambling. I like cuda's style on the dividends (look at 12% rule). I do like to trade but have steered clear of cryptos for better or worse.
Damn man...you could've spent $40 on bfast, blown the other $140 at the tables ( with free Jack daniels on the rock's) and had way more fun. Not to derail the crypto convo though...which is a good one. The one thing that interest me about it is the volatility. You can definitely trade it. Some of my best trades over the years have been on volatility. But, for some reason I have steered clear of this phenomenon. I must be getting old and more reserved. It's probably a buying opportunity on this thing right now...especially if it dips below $10k. Who knows...it's risky... even the short! I personally will watch it play out some more. All G DP!
im not into this crypto coins stuff, but i was wondering what this new/revised 1031 taxation will do to the crypto coins . Does it make more legitimate with taxation on every trans action or hurt it . Wow lol i said Trans action , better be careful with that one here . or more a pain in the arse in the long run trying to keep track of it all . i thought crypto currency was created to make speeder exchanges and keep the big g's hand out of the money , am i just noob and trying to finger this out .
