Dear Admin: numbers prease

the mods didn't help but there are a lot of things working against the site.

1. as mentioned by others before this forum is a dying social media platform. chat rooms and forums are over for lots of reasons.
2. the site didn't evolve or meet the needs of its users in terms of "swell information". the majority of ppl want to know what it's going to be like at on such and such day at such and such time. SI was pretty good but when that day came everyone here had to go to their local cam to check. SI would have to gone head to head with Surfline or something like that.
3. SI forum at some point turned into that dive bar you used to like to go to. Then when SI got sold it lost its way. free my ppl or something like that.
4. i forgot my point but whatever

 

If you have a desk job, how on earth do you function without checking SI more than twice a day? Don’t give me any “I’m busy” hogwash either. I know you’re dumping at least twice a day, probably more.

If you’re reading this while making brown, don’t be part of the problem. Post. You’ll get roasted, become pissy and ultimately ghost but at least the inmates had fun for and hour or two. Thank you.

 

Lack of worthwhile content has led me to only occasionally visit this site.

 

The internet thrives on 2 things: smut and conflict. Smut isn't allowed on this forum and conflict always seems to get shut down. This forum is at its best when people are fighting with each other. If I want to read articles about surfing, photos, etc.... there are 2000 other places for that.

Seriously, this is really the only forum I've ever been an active participant in, and I'm not really on here a lot.
You guys are really an interesting lot, even if Barry thinks you are all morons, I beg to differ. I've learned a lot by reading posts on board design, shaping and shapers, getting off the grid, hell, even fishing lure tips (Z and Erock) I never really comment much in those threads but I watch and I learn. As I've told all my sons, shut the friggin hole under your nose and open your eyes and ears.
In summary, I guess what it comes down to is if you still have Scantily Clad Thread, then I will always be here. Lurking, creeping, skulking about. With binoculars and a trench coat. Wayne Stylee.

 

What this forum needs is leadership. Over the years we have had Gruvi, PJB, Riley, Seldom, and other. They we're the glue that linked all the threads together. Now this place is a headless free-for-all.

 

And still not one word from the Admins.??

I could be very wrong here. But it seems the mods have stepped back a bit, no? Just before the change things were pretty tense, posts being deleted from scantily clad tread and all that. I don't check that thread much but it seems to me allot of what was getting deleted, isn't anymore.

Since the change has anyone been infarcted, banned, or had posts deleted?

 

Yeah, a couple of people got banned again...MIS Stank for one.

Guys just get completely ghosted now. And the few that have come back have different usernames and have gone underground a bit, not wanting to be completely exiled. Pretty sure at least one mod completely deleted his former account as a member, and now posts as another "member"...usually during our "left vs right" conversations.

 

Yank, Archy, Pump, Tlo, Bill, Cartier, Blasters, PinTail Donkey, Doug, Gaff.
Then guys like Seldom, Cep, Fungus, Red Dog, Jay D, and even Betty don't seem to ever be on here as much as they used to.
Hell, even Wayne and Roy would be a welcome distraction at this point.
And of course, there was Bill.
These are the folks that made this place tick. I guess the rest of us are just the drunks that don't want to leave the bar until last call.
