Professional surfing makes zero sense anymore! No Eddie or pipe masters, tons of video content WOW billabong big wave awards( which I prefer now days ) I think with the Olympics coming soon there is getting ready to be a big market consolidation also considering all the major brands bankrupting. Can anybody make sense of this in 144 characters or less?
I used to really enjoy watching pro surfing. Mostly because i like the surfers and happy they could make a good living surfong. Now it blows. Corporate takeover. Too much money for the atheletes to care. I dont blame them. Kind of like seeing Rusty brand at JC Penny.
Same thing that happened to NASCAR. Corporate dollars don't promote the sport, just their investments.
