    Looks cool. Anyone seen it?

And then there's this. Is this really an issue? Are people really getting worked up about Black Panther?

I won’t be wasting my time or money on it. The movie industry is in the crapper. The entertainment industry in general is crap right now.

Yeah i don't go out to the movies. Not really interested in seeing this movie or any other movie. If i do really want to see a movie, i just wait till its on demand or whatever.

As far as the issues surrounding this movie. Yah i heard some things. It's crazy. People are retarded. Joe Rogan is a smart and open minded guy. I hadn't seen or listened to his pod cast or whatever. Nothing recent. But back in the day before he became big with the ufc and all that, i remember watching a few interviews or videos of him just speaking. Reminds me of Kelly Slater in a way. Well spoken for the most part.

I have read all those comments about not going to see it until black people have had their moment, it's insane. I have no problem with everyone in the movie being black but I do wonder if at the key moment or turning point there will be a white person who saves the day or makes an inspirational statement that bucks everyone up. I hate that trend in all these movies. You could have a movie about the pilgrims and I guarantee there would be a black sailor on the mayflower that cradles a dying pilgrim and whispers comforting words about freedom in the new land that they are searching for. They insert race into everything where it's not contextual.

I recently saw darkest hour. There was a scene at the end where Churchill went on the subway and asked the people what they thought should be done about the German threat. They were all for fighting. Of course they couldn't resist and made the key character of the scene a very African recent immigrant the most patriotic and vocal for resistance. Now who knows if there is a shred of truth to that, maybe there is but I doubt it. It's Hollywood forcing their version of social justice down our throats. I'm all for giving everyone the credit they deserve but forcing it is pathetic and I would think embarrassing for any group that is used in that way.

If black panther is about an all black world then it should be all black with no diversity and it's fine with me. I'm not into super hero movies but if I was it looks like a cool one. I just say for gods sake stop forcing the diversity thing especially when every predominantly white nation and white storyline are the only ones being forced to do it. I guarantee there are movies out there about Vikings that has black characters.

What world do they think we live in where they feel the need to force the idea of diversity down our throats. I have never doubted that there were all kinds of people in the world and that there were key figures in American history that weren't white. Just represent them correctly for their own sake and stop pandering. A movie with all black characters, all Chinese, all Indian is fine with me. As long as it fits the story I think it's great but you have to apply that standard to everything.

I agree. I listened to his take on the movie and what he calls the fringes of our society on both sides and he says it really well. Seems like our country is being influenced by the screaming idiots on the street corner. The internet gives them a megaphone.

This actually reminds me of something from a year or so back. Some celebrity, i forget who, dressed up as an Indian for Halloween. Not a scalped Indian or anything. Just an innocent normal Indian. On Halloween. Nothing to think twice about. Well i guess paparazzi or whatever got pictures or something. Somehow pictures got online and people started calling her racist. She had to publicly apologize for offending native Americans. There was nothing to be offended about.

Same goes with what zippy mentioned. There was a movie a few years back. I forget which one. But black people were treated terribley in the movie. Because they were in that era. Suddenly the writer or director or whatever is racist.

People need to stop taking everything so seriously

The world they try to create is a lot similar to an ideal USA according to Trump. Extremists are usually reflections of each other.

The only movies I've ever seen in the theater are the Star Wars movies and Step Into Liquid. Me and some buddies got high and went to see the first Star Wars back in the 70s. So, every time a Star Wars movie comes out, I get high and go see it. A tradition sorta thing. But I digress.
One movie/race thingie that bothered me a little bit was the Dark Tower. I read all 7 of Steven King's Dark Tower series books. There are illustrations of the main character, the Gunslinger, in every book. He is white. The movie comes out and he is black. Why?

The town where I live is >95% white.
There’s 1 white kid in the preK-5 elementary school where I work.

I’m not touching this Black Panther with a ten foot pole!

Why does everything seem to be about race nowadays?
