Also, I was up on El Bee Eye yesterday and went to a certain jetty made of wood. It was off the hook good when I was there. I didn't surf as I was there to work on a friend's roof but took a break to check it out. Check out Stay Above the Weather's Insta-thingie page for pics.
North Florida doing the damn thing this morning. Double overhead on the sets and flawless all morning. Hope you fellers and ladies got you some today.
surfed nomoco Saturday evening.was pretty friggin big lol,bad conditions tho, mostly closeouts.ny was pumping, wouldve been great if I had the time to go there
Duuude! That's a sick one! Where's that at? Don't gotta give away a spot or anything. Gotta be NY or RI? My guess is NY?
Hope you guys enjoyed that swell in your thick suits! Hah I did on Sat am in South Jerz before my flight to FL. When I got here I scored it proper’e. Props to Surfdog for da local knowledge. Here’s some of the smaller sets I fell into. Some were legit 12’ faces.
Very interesting session on Saturday. Headed a little north (note: the Lew-CM ferry was a wreck so drove around). Couldn't find anything within my wants until I checked a spot basically on a hunch. Found some really long waist-shoulder high peelers. Really fun. Yeah, I didn't surf the big stuff but really enjoyed the super long peelers. It's too cold for me to duck dive those bombs and enjoy myself. I guess you could call this the pussy report but can't say I really care too much as the sesh was super chill and fun.
yesterday evening was some textured layover from the day. I didn't see anything too significant here on Folly from the noreaster. didn't live up to its billing but the forecast did drop when it closed in. got dumpy for the most part in the evening but the 4/3 suite was so much of a difference than the 3/2 that I didn't mind the eh
Glad everyone’s been out! I surfed sat, Sunday. On my way to surf now but had to stop and use the John. Swell has been super fun. Saturday surfed a feathery left that was dumping for the drop and then a a face that just kept giving. Sunday surfed good ole OCNJ. not the biggest fan of the wave there but it was fun, lots of guys out, really had to find the shoulder on the sets. Gotta surf!
Today is Day #5 of NE winds at 35-40 MPH (or greater, Friday wind was 55-60mph) side-chop, crappiest waves ever. Size has been there, but useless for surfing. This storm was no friend to surfers north of Cape Cod. But, my family was visiting anyways, so there was zero temptation to run off and go surfing. Good thing is, the ocean will provide us with more storms, more waves sooner or later. Glad some of you had very good surf.
Southern NJ was pretty epic this Sunday. Positive vibes in the lineups, great size and good shape. If any of youz were one of those tube hunting maniacs dropping into death barrels at a certain break in Cape May -my hat is off to you.
Glad there are waves for days and have been scoring, but I am ready for a day of W wind so I can surf my home break
