Good point, variety is the spice of life! Or something like that...

Something a bit shorter with more volume.

I picked this thing up off CL for $280 (Basically new). It's a 6'4. same volume as my 7'0 single fin (about 9L more than my normal shortboard). THIS THING IS FU++IN FUN! I rode it as a thruster and hated it. Placed 2 small rear fins and the thing actually turns now! It's good for these mushy CA waves

Look no further than the Coil Megamind. Meant to be ridden really short, has lots of volume and performs in small waves up to head high ish.

Just checked it out real quick. Definitely looks fun. I love boards that aren't so cookie cutter. Feeling different things under my feet. That looks right up my alley. Kinda similar to my 6'3 single fin actually. Minus the channel and the step down tail and the fin setup. Really fun shape that i actually based my standard SB and step up off of. That board looks like a blast

I was looking at "The wider Board" as well, but he would have to make me one 7'2 if I do order one--I emailed him 3-4 moths ago, he replied and said he would happily make me one any size I want, but then....I took off to France and forgot all about it. Getting old.

I think if that had a swallow tail I'd be sold, would be an awesome mid-sized board. Oh to dream...

I've got family lives in Carlsbad actually. Maybe I'll have them stop by the shop and give me the honest truth for the SI fellers

Don't think it's a pop out, Ol' Steve signed it.

You will catch every ripple going by if you want to, so you will surf more.
But you can throw away all your Viagra--you won't be needing it anymore.....

O Barry You are cracking me up! IF I buy this, I am not throwing all my short boards in the garbage. I will still ride my 5'10" V3 Rocket 99% of the time, but this might be fun to have in the quiver. (just dug the Viagra out of the garbage)

for really small days, i would always go with a wide square tail over a round tail. That flying seed looks to me like something i would ride in soft waves that had a bit of size.

I love how the seller has all those kid's toys located right next to an unprotected electrical socket

I'm interested to ride it! Especially since I haven't been on anything this big in years

Kids are good, they only lick the sockets, they don't put toys in there!
