Few years ago Pleasantville was the worst place to live in New Jersey according to some N.J. magazine I can’t recall. First, this is false Camden,Trenton,Patterson,Atlantic City are all much worse. Why is this the worst place? As a surfer it would seem like a really cheap place not too far from ocean to live in.
Dude, stay outta pville. You’re better off moving into the inlet section of AC. I’ve been considering a comeback and really like that area - I would only move into the Bella.. you can get a home in the hood with land for like 40k
That area is coming back and relatively safe as well. Can you explain pville? I live in oc and go to ac often but never pville. It’s that bad?
My stripper x lived in a house there. Rented a room in a old Victorian house for like 200/month That was the nice area too (10 years ago). In my experience it was nice with potential, but since it was so affordable, it attracts garbage. Lots of shootings, gangs... Shoot. Beanie seigel was shot up there like 2 years ago walking into his aunts house or something..
New Jersey Monthly magazine ranked Brigantine as its 36th best place to live in its 2008 rankings of the "Best Places To Live" in New Jersey.[28]
Brig was a great place to live. Me (and 6 buddies) got a 4 story townhouse on the bay with boat slips. I think we were paying 250 each. St. George’s is 24 hours too! College was so much better than adult life.
Lived in an apartment literally ON the beach. It's gone now, but man... that was one hell of a year. Commuted to Stockton... surfed every day there was waves... whether I had classes or not, LOL.
You could probly find something cheap to rent on the south end of AC which is way nicer than uptown and definitly pville. Ventnor is your next option. I know someone who just bought a condo in ventnor for less than 100k. Thats better investment bc you can always rent out your condo being on the island. Edit: further life advice - think/investigate school systems before you buy if you plan on having kids. Drive by at dropoff. If you see parents en masse in pajamas you might not want to buy a house there. Plus, taxes are out of control on mainland. Rent first and figure it out from there. And for you stockton students stay tf out of my way.
