Heading to the southern tip of Baja in 3 weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for travelers insurance? Have read on here that World Nomads is pretty reputable.

Based off what I've been looking at some plans require that you purchase an "adventure plan" to cover surfing related injuries or action sports, etc.

I want to cover all my bases in case I experience a catastrophe while outside of the states.

    Thanks dudes.

I used AXA on my last trip. Make sure it has the language to medivac (Heli) you out of an area. Sounds like a nice trip.

If you drive from SD you can stop before you cross the border

I would get a international phone plan for the week too.
Gotta keep us updated on the surf trip. I think "xcom global" is a cheap option

Take plenty of guns, ammunition, and a bimbo.
    And kiss yo ass goodbye!!
And have fun; rip a wave or two for Cuda.....

World Nomads is underwritten by Nationwide. I have used them for Nica and Bali. Made good use of it in Bali wife got sick and it paid for the Air Medevac to Singapore also covered lost luggage and surfboard damage.

World Nomads my pick. Got stuck in France when Air France went on strike. I paid out-of-pocket, which is to be expected, for my hotel & other items as I waited several days to get back to the USA. Submitted my receipts & the insurance company then issued me a check for most of my outlay. Smooth & professional experience with World Nomads.

Used them when I went to SE Asia....didn't have to use it,(TG),but good to have. Pick up an International Drivers license from AAA too.

I've used Allianz multiple times; however, I have never had to use it on a trip, so take it with a grain of salt I suppose....

I appreciate the advice my friends.

I'm leaning towards the World Nomads as of now. Hoping to score some for the buoys.

Check with your credit card company and your major health coverage here in the states to see what they cover, you might be surprised.

Trip was sick. I’d go back. Warm blue water, air and plenty of surf. Located in good proximity to multiple breaks. And plenty of excursions to keep a significant other happy.
If you are thinking about going feel free to PM and I can throw you some more specifics.

There’s some insider info in this here tread:

The only thing that concerns me down there now, are the cartels. Mexico is the Wild West.
