i'm curious as to how far everyone commutes to their favorite breaks? be it walking distance, 3 hour drive, whatever. and if it's a long driving commute do you make it out often? or not so much?

Mines about a 10 minute drive tops, very convenient. I'm out whenever there's waves and i'm not working.

15 to 25 minutes, very rare 30 minutes. I just have to drive down highway 36 to get to the spots in northern monmouth county nj i surf. Studying real hard at school currently so one day I can afford to live right on the beach :D

3 hours from DC most every weekend of the summer plus anytime there is swell during the fall and spring not so much in the winter. Head out to CA a lot and usually a winter trip to somewhere warm in January this year a week in Costa Rica. Commute is painfull but necessary no waves in the city.

I had to locate to DC for work for a few months so its about 2.5 hours right now. 5.5 hours if I want to go to my 'home' break. Painful. Hopefully I will be re-relocated to CA or HI this summer so the drive will be less.

It is a plane ride then a gray hound bus. About 10 hours to surf the naval jetty but it is so worth it
