Possibly a new surfing game. surf.transworld.net Here's the article. We get a lot of requests to make another surfing video game like the one we made years ago cleverly called “TransWorld SURF”. And it appears that now, Tony Hawk feels the same way about bringing surfing back to the vidiots. I liked our game and always felt that a game that meshed ours with “Kelly Slater: Pro Surfer” would be a hit. Anyway, we’ll keep you posted on the efforts… As reported on kotaku.com In an interview with GameSpot, skating legend and video game staple Tony Hawk has spoken fondly, and none-too-subtly, of his wishes to see another Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer game. Using the Tony Hawk: Ride controller, of course. Chatting about what comes next for the expensive peripheral, Hawk says “I think that the first priority, beyond skateboarding, would be snowboarding because that would lend itself [to the board] a little bit easier [than other genres], and beyond that I’d love to do a surfing game. I always thought that Kelly Slater’s [Pro Surfer] was an underrated title for the PlayStation 2. I thought that people didn’t really give it the attention it deserved.”
this is a good idea. every once in a while i like to kick back and play a surfing game or something, though it gets old after a while and doesn't carry nearly the same thrill as actually surfing (<-- but that goes without saying).
If they do make it some you can use the Tony Hawk Ride controller I wish they would make other board options you can pick from in the game, I dont know or douby they Kelly Slater Pro surfer had a Longboard option. But it would be cool if you cam choose for a bunch of boards or better yet make your own board.
im all for another surfing game , but the tony hawk ride controller is so awful its so unresponsive and has a mind of its own, please if they are going to make another surfing game , stay far away from anything tony hawk his last five games have been terrible and i would hate for them to make a terrible surfing game no one would buy that would lead to another 10 years of waiting for another surfing game to be developed
Kelly Slater Pro Surfer is such a sick game. Kinda gets repetative though. No longboard option. Its sooo fun on those flat winter days
