Have any of you morons gone and visited Surfline recently? It is completely changed and completely destroyed, imho. What pure crap. One cannot even get to articles easily as before. It shows that Surfline are as stupid as their creator.
Just checked it out. I like it because they are less aware of all my ad-blocking activities than before
im with you barry the new look is brutal. one good feature on "old surfline" is near shore swell model. cant find it on new site
Not there anymore... they have moved on. I made some suggestions a couple of weeks ago related to the detailed forecasts a few of which were implemented. In some areas the old displays were simpler, less detailed and easier to read and in other areas they made some nice improvements, so over a mixed bag.
The charts might still be there but the site has been reorganized so much you may have to spend some time re-learning (old guys like me don't like that with only so much time left... B**** probably hates it because he has nearly thrown in the towel).
Funny. Snurfline gave me the new version about 6 months ago. I hated it so much that I stopped going there altogether. Then about a month or 2 ago, I clicked on it and they reverted back to the old stylee. I would love to know the driving factor behind both moves, especially the decision to arbitrarily return my account back to the original format. Kinda hard to believe that Snurfline might have some weird Google Amazon Apple spy algorithms going on
It's all in the name of innovation, "progress", and change for change sake. Funny thing, I still get the old format using my home PC and the "new and improved" format from work.
With the forecasting you get on Windy.com and all of the free surfcams elsewhere on the web I rarely visit Surfline anymore. Windy has all the tools you need. When I do visit Surfline it is only to check out the cameras at Trestles. Trestles is one of the few places I like to check where I can't find a free cam elsewhere.
On windy.....click More Layers on the right hand side on a computer. Near the bottom you will find Waves, Swell 1, Swell 2, and Swell 3. Combined with their super accurate wind predictions you should be able to figure out when your favorite spots will be going off easily.
