Super clean and fun yesterday morning before work, so easy, made it hard to be responsible and get out. Crowds are coming back though. You think you have it bad in New Hammy Barry? All the popular spots between Matunuck and Monahans get swamped. At least you can drive over the border and invade the N shore, S shore, cape, ect.. Our parking lots are filled with blue CT plates. They don't get jack. No CT breaks to invade. #conneticunts.

Fun chest high peaks this morning in the fog. Clean and glassy until the wind came up. Switched it up this time and took out the longboard. There's been no shortage of waves lately, and I'm kinda getting a little bored with the shortie. Got a couple of fivers, but it was just good to feel some glide.

It was nice to get out on a Saturday morning. Hadn't done that in quite awhile. Fairly clean, waist high sets.

I surfed NSB Inlet today. It was waist high with some a little bigger, NW wind was pretty consistent, conditions weren’t perfect but it was pretty damn fun. I caught a few on the fish and then switched to my LB. Crowd was light compared to usual. They charge $20 to drive on the beach now! Use to be like $7-8, then $10, now $20. And the year pass went up to $100. Like double what it use to be. Love this place though, always a good time. Water felt great, got bumped by a baby shark as soon as I got in, but that was it for wildlife.

Fun sesh up in north jersy today. Lots of waves still around and some random OH sets coming in. Surfed about 3.5 hours. Even took the hood off for awhile.

The buoys had some good fun today.

Soulrider just shaped me a new sled, which we both got to test out. It’s the “bum drunk” based off a Stretch super buzz. Dims are 5’5” x 20.25 x 2.5.

Gotta throw my dude credit. It was everything I wanted and more. The outline, bottom contours and rails are just so clean. Stoked as hell.

Not much surfing here. None at all actually.

Finishing up work for the season until September pretty soon. Really thinking about an international (or Hawaii :)) surf trip for a week or so. Not California, either. Would love to do Rincon again and for longer than the 3.5 days I spent there back in January, but this time of the year sucks there.

Really digging all the pictures and stories in this thread. It gives me a bit of my fix. Water is 49 degrees by me. Forecast looks decent by me tomorrow, but I need some more rest.

Nice kan! I gotta get soulrider to shape me something. Started to talk to him about something then they changed the format and i couldn't find out how to PM. Then life happened. Good luck with the board and nice work soul!

Glad all you guys have been getting some. I had a crazy work week and winds weren't looking good here anyway. Tried yesterday. Definitely had size judging from the buoy, but the fog was so thick i couldn't see. I surfed in fog, bad fog, plenty of times. But this was something else. If it was smaller i might of went but at that size.... gotta draw the line somewhere.

I was hoping to get it good today since i didn't go yesterday. Swell dropped and high tide early. I got there real early. 5AM. Rainy and overcast. Couldn't see much as it was still dark. But winds were light and buoy was at 3.8@8 seconds. Or something like that. Suit up and get in the water by 530, just as it's getting light enough to see. Bummer. Looks deep. Dribblers. Saw one peak that produced a good looking wave on the sets though. So went out and figured I'll just wait for those. First was a right. Nice wall to it. Stood up nicley. Maybe it'll be better then I'm expecting. Then it shut down. One wave. Disappointed. Bummed. Sad. As a last resort i walked down to a spot i already checked early that wasn't working, but i have got it good recently in similar conditions. Saw nothing special. Ehhh at best. Went out anyway to try.

HOLY COW! It was good! Like a switch it just turned on again. And not just rideable, but damn good! Waist/ stomach/almost chest high. Glassy as hell. Came in fat, then jacked creating a fast and steep takeoff. Then you had this nice wall that had one section were it backed off for a second, cutback, then would wall back up inside. All rights. The lefts were to soft. I caught the first one, took off behind the peak, shallow bottom turn and pulled up into a little non exsistent but kinda the lip to the head sort of barrel (if you want to call it that), right into a top turn, cutback, then pumped like hell through the inside section trying to pull into another barrel that wasn't actually there. Kicked out and was so surprised. Speechless. Went from being not worth it, to super fun. Didn't expect to get waves like that. Caught a bunch more of those rights then the tide finally killed it. Even after the tide killed it there were still really fun ones, but to far and few between.

Pretty pumped on the sesh. Gotta love when the ocean gives you those little gifts

Ahh - new boards. I love how you put down a towel before putting the new stick on the pavement. I bet In a month or two it will go directly on the street or in a bush or whatever. My boards get fantastic treatment for maybe a month then they get left in the car, dropped on sidewalk, thrown on sand etc.

Another fun day at NSB Inlet. I started the day off with some birthday sex, then walked across the street and watched the sunrise as I smoked a doober. As I was watching the waves break, a van pulled up and interrupted my smoke session. I was almost done anyways.

Next we went and got breakfast and then headed to the Inlet. I surfed for about 3.5hrs, it was fun and consistent. Mostly waist high but a bigger set came through every 15-30 minutes.

I caught countless waves on the LB. This place is so damn consistent it’s ridiculous. On a day that should be flat it was anything but. I even got a couple cover ups. With light offshore wind and clean conditions I really couldn’t ask for much more for a B day present.

Surfed yesterday and today on Cape Ann. Good both days but about 15˚ air temperature difference with today being rainy and cold so I had to bust out the hood again. Saw one guy out without gloves today which was a bold choice but he went back in pretty quick. I am looking forward to ditching gloves myself but not that badly.

Great longboard waves both days, lots of long rides at high tide. A little crowded but pretty manageable as the waves were breaking across the beach.

the front traction pads are interesting...how are they going to feel when you lay on them without a wetsuit? curious to know if they are hard/irritating/uncomfortable on the bare skin in any way...
