whaddah y’all think? Thing looks pretty fuggin rad. Would like to sarf it way more than the founders boring wavepool.. 180 waves an hour?
I can be smug after a nice spring of steady waves,"no soul, no salt, blahblahblah", but I've paid $100 to surf like 8 waves at Typhoon Lagoon during a summer flat spell, with a crew of 9 other like minded morons. I'd shell out some coin in late June to late July for a good session, just to knock the rust off. It would really come in handy as a pre travel warm up, like the day before flying down to CR and hitting OH plus groundswell. Instead of not having surfed for a whole month before paddling out and getting lip launched on the first attempt.
I won tickets to this place - I’m going to pick up a bus is arizona to renovate for a Central America trip next winter. Waco is in my driveline back east - they are taking bookings by phone and I’m trying to nail up 2 hours on the 20th . Hope I can try this thing for myself
Looks pretty fun. The BSR Surf Resort debuts the Perfect Swell technology, and will create all types of waves with short intervals between them. The size of the waves will vary between 3 and 8 foot. A one-hour session will cost $60. https://www.surfertoday.com/surfing/14308-bsr-surf-resort-promises-all-types-of-waves-in-texas
There’s a bunch of videos if you search for it. Look up JOB’s YT channel. He’s got some footy of it. I’ve seen some Instagram posts with a couple pros shredding it. The wave actually looks pretty fun. If I were in town or nearby I’d go. In general, I’m not a yugeee fan of this whole pool trend, but it is what it is.
My wife says they should perfect it by making it blow out a huge spit at the very end. I love this woman
It actually looks like it bends at you which is refreshing. This will become an air playground for pros to learn on. Only makes sense, just in time for olympics. This is what money does to.....anything
I'm not a fan of the pool trend either. But 60 bucks for a sesh? I'd do it. What was Kelly charging? Or going to be charging
