Too long, still funny watching him take a beating. I give him props for the effort. Also for not being too full of himself and actually uploading it.

Messed up his leg, reason he was simply watching/filming the first long vid. Just entered his first comp. Can be a brutal roll on that dry reef. 2016 Highlights:

No disrespect for boogs man. All those who are committed to riding waves are equal in my book.

90% of surfers are flapping, floundering jackasses with no business being in the water. See it goes both ways.

    Ah respect

Most talented surfers respect the talented boogs

It's always the surf jock sub average surfers who garble the anti boog talk

Besides the boogs found all those sexy slabs you standups like to revel over

Then there is Burry...Burry no surf

This thread is not a dig at boggy boarters, just FYI. It’s just a funny video.

There’s a few of those around FL, I never had any issue with them, they are usually old guys, like older than Barry.

Every time a sponger gets a wave I think, 'well there's a wave wasted.'

    Spongers.
    That is not surfing.
    Sorry.
    You know it.

    Everyone who actually surfs knows.
Everyone who actually surfs has also at one time or another ridden a lot of waves prone.
It's really fun, sponge, bodysurf, but it's not near as exhilarating.

It is not even close to actual surfing, and to repeat, everyone knows it.

If i was a sponger, i'd be laying there watching all the surfers, and then immediately i'd get out of the water, go home, throw my sponge in the garbage can and get a surfboard.

Everyone who has ever surfed a decent wave and gotten a decent ride standing up on a real surfboard knows there is no comparison, the pure stoke is immeasurably better than anything else in the world.

Ha! Well I may be joining you soon as I get older and back gets trickier. We can waste waves together.

That's just mean spirited, and wrong. "Surfing" doesn't depend on the craft you are riding. Surfing is riding the wave's energy. You can convince yourself that stand up surfing is the only 'real' surfing, but that doesn't mean you are correct in your conviction.

It's your choice if you want to harbor ignorant beliefs and to belittle other people, but don't be so quick to assume that because someone prefers bodyboarding on the biggest days that they can't stand up surf or that you are better than that other person. You are not better. You felt the need to attempt to publicly shame a group of people, there's really no place for that attitude. Young people see that type of polarization and instead of learning to coexist they learn to hate.

You probably won't even paddle out, much less drop on the peak, on the biggest days on the east coast. But there are bodyboarders that will, and when you see them, I doubt you will spew that hate.

    Good day sir.
