bad karma brothers and sisters. I went back and had some fun this afternoon,......but a few bad apples ruined the fun to some extent. While I was taking pictures around Area 51, two young assholes stole my board and the surfboard leash of Colin Herlihy. I would say they were between 16 to 19, drove they own car, and most likely are around this area,...most likely. You know it is only three days before xmas? It is more the principle of the whole thing really. I have left that same board twice by accident at some of the main breaks locally and it was always returned. But here we are right in the water and these little punks steal it like it was fun/funny? Hope I never see someone with it :lol: , talk about getting smashed bad, underage or not. The board is one of a kind, bought in 03 on the north shore. It was broke however, -->the reason why I was using it at Area 51, so the value was next to nothing, but it is the principle of it. If it is used at any of the local breaks it will be seen most likely. The board is an all black custom x c4 41 inch, with a blue wrist leash. The board has a huge crease across the middle center of the board. The really bad part is that I had my camera setting jacked up the entire time, ....crap.... I hate it when I do that :blink: :angry: If you hear about or see a board like the one I spoke of give a shout out please.
bummer Man, that sucks. I'll keep my eye out at my home break in ocmd, and I think everyone else should do the same. If I see them I'll hit u up right away. I never say and rarely think this... but those people deserve a BEATDOWN!!!!!!! Screw um man, they'll definately get thiers somewhere down the line and I hope you are there to watch it. Hope I'm there too. Once again, some people have no respect, and I just wish those people would stay out of the water, and disappear. They don't deserve the rewards we reap. Hit me up if you track these maggots down, or at least post thier names on here.
sorry to hear that. In general around Delmarva I"ve found that there really is not that much bull**** with people worrying about people looking for hidden keys and stuff and trying to screw over the fellow surfers. Many of times, I've left boards and other stuff on the beach and have never had a problem. But, in general these asses are out there in every town, so i guess its a warning to everyone out there. Hopefully, this thread will get the warning out, so someone will spot your stuff.
Thanks...... All the times through all the seasons, all the stuff people leave on the beach. Then you have something as petty as this happen. Colin goes, "i bet they took my leash to", and sure enough that was gone as well. I just do not get the humor in it, because you know that had to have thought it was funny. Really, stealing is for kids. By the age of 12 I hope that most have grown out of that crap. But with all due respect to this younger crowd, what passes for fun and excitement is very strange, and very weak for that matter. Thanks for the good words. I saw the car??? Jorday and were the surfers who rolled up as you were just about to leave. We were surfing just to the north and then I mingled down your way. I knew all the cars in the parking lot except for one and they had been checking the surf most of the day in the area. Let me know what car your driving and I will give you a description of the car I saw that was leaving when I was getting in! I didn't see bucks car...who was he driving with?

I am never going to leave my board on the beach again. I have a Mcfly and there is no way I can afford another one. I could see someone stealing it to. Whatever, that suck. Man that sucks. But wat sucks even more is knowing they're still out there, probably riding away as they laugh. I don't get how stealing someone's stuff is funny. sucks man. last spring, this kid stole 4 boards from my one friend, 3 from my other, and a center fin ( i dont no why) from my other friend, and he tried to sell it. but since the word spread fast enough about what happened, he was unable to sell, so sadly i heard he just used the fresh crisp new boards as target practice in the woods, sad. these days u just cant trust other people...
It's disgusting that there is no respect. They probably don't even ride the boards. I'm sorry that you lost your boards and if I see any board like that I will let you know. Thats pretty foul i never had that stuff stolen but I have had similar crap taken when I ride my sled. The craps useless other then to the owner so when someone steals it they was it for everyone. hopefully you find him to deliver him a nice Christmas punch.
Hey, i can relate to your story as well. Last Saturday (12/15), while my roommate and i were out of town, a few guys broke into our house on Bering Rd in OCMD. They took over $2,000 worth of stuff including 3 wetsuits. Strangely they left all of the boards in the house. The entire place was a huge mess. One suit was purchased no less than a month before it was taken and the other two were about a year old. These guys destroyed our house and robbed us of valuables. It really sucked because i had just bought a new board that day, but since i no longer have a suit, i haven't been able to try it out. If anyone knows anything about what happened, please let me know. Thanks.

Xgen I feel for ya A’Holes steal w/o thinking of disruption to others. We have dirtbags steal “industry specific” equipment from jobsites that has no use / value to anyone except us. What the A’Holes don’t realize is how many “Others” their thoughtless actions effect. The A’Hole that stole equipment realizes its no good to anyone but us, so he throws it in the corner to collect dust meanwhile I have to shut down job because we are unable to work. Now we lose a day or two wages and work the weekend to make up for this, oh and the cost to replace equipment probably comes out of year end bonus.. The good individuals get screwed and the sad part is after weighing the cause / effect it would have been beneficial for us to pay the A’Hole not to steal. GO FIGURE!!! Because we now live in a liberal “Not Their Fault” society, they will tell you that it is your own fault because you “YOU should have known better and locked/guarded YOUR stuff.” However had you caught them & kicked the $hit out of em, you would have won the free ride to the local PSB. F%#ked up aint it, Sad but true. Just my thought, sorry for the ***** PRAY FOR BAD KARMA
Its jackasses like that who give surfers everywhere a bad name. Seems like its just getting worse. I live near the OBX, and can remember when you could leave boards right under the house for quick access, or in the back of a truck while at work. Now in the last 2 months there have been no less than 8 boards stolen in the Duck/KH/NH area. What is the world coming to?
