i absolutely love this board. i've been doing standup boogie for almost 10 years and this is by far the best board i've ridden for it. they make it with a DOW core which is strong, but flexible and reinforce it with 4 stringers. the bottom contour/channels help it hold a rail in steeper surf that most bodyboards wouldn't be able to handle (if you're riding it standup). the best part is, it's only $150! i've paid well over $300 for custom bodyboards that i've had specifically made for standup riding. if you're located in delmarva, lots of the local surf shops are getting them in stock

ps- i'm not saying good things about it because i ride for them. this board is really sick and perfect for its method of riding

I always figured that if I did decide to stand up (which I don't really want to, let the sponger jokes come) this would be the board to do so on. At $150 it's a steal. Although it might pass by some summer BP unnoticed, it it still out of the OCMD regulatory of a bodyboard being 42" and under. Who cares I ride mine 43-44" anyway.

I decide to remain on a bodyboard because I feel like EVERYONE wants to surf (stand up). I've always liked to do things differently. You can't deny that the stand-up industry is blowing up more and more every year, as more and more flock to the coast.

Oh, go ahead and let the sponger jokes fly. I've heard it all. Doesn't phase me anymore. You obviously don't have respect for the true essence of wave-riding if you're still trying to rip on spongers. Zing!

haha thanks for the advice man. i went with a different board, the 5' 8" channel islands skinny fish. i cant wait to use it. and dont worry, i have the same respect for bodyboarders as i do surfers. after all, were all playing in the same ocean, aren't we?

The boards are big and can support a lot of weight. You just have to understand that a board of this material may flex a bit. For the size there's nothing out in the market that can compare or the price. K-coast sells them!
