I would add Lynn Shell to Busby and Price. I haven’t gotten a board from him in years but he is still putting out proper east coast sticks.
See also "Who's a good local shaper in your area?" thread (Oct 25, 2017) under Surfboards and Surfboard Design.
I love threads like this but their almost worthless without pics - lets see some of these guys work! If they love what they do then we will see some great work. I’ll go first cause I ain’t scairt
Resin tint on my 9’6” LedgeRunner RB and that fish was one of the last boards to be glasses at Diamond for Roger.
There's a LOTTA "East Coast Shapers"... I think it's best to go by region or state... or even county. In Monmouth County, I'd say Tommy Eadon, then Davey Sky: http://daveyskysurfboards.com/
In the New Smyrna area, Greg Geiselman. For Brevard County, Mike Daniel. That’s who I have gone with the last 3 boarts and I’m happy. There are tons of good shapers in FL though.
Lynn is an awesome shaper. He is also humble and honest. He admits Scott is better. Scott is a little cleaner shape. More precise. But Lynn branched out to Hawaii for years with HIC in their heyday, and later when SUPER blew up the scene, so who is to say, really? Scott is a good friend and I get all my boards from him and they always work. He finally got some recognition winning that annual shapeoff event in florida and now he got in the east coast surfing hall of fame. He does not advertise or go looking for recognition at all, just a surfer like the rest of us. By the way both he and lynn are really good surfers, too. Lynn still sends some of his boards to Scott to be glassed. Lynn started out working for Scott a long time ago. I'm down here in Buxton right now! They drove up to nj and visited me at home for a few hours a couple years ago. Both are great guys and awesome shapers.
