Am I the only one disappointed about Christmas this year. I understand that we are all supposed to be grateful for what we have and celebrate it with family and friends. Unfortunately on the East Coast we never have the intended swell that is forecasted on the day the we good out to brave the frigid temps for a few good waves with our bros. How can the forcast say waist to chest for Southampton and then it end up to be less then ankle high. Ugghhhh Merry Christmas

I was disappointed as well forecasted waist to stomach with occ. chest highs, and you get ankle biters... but hey its better than nothing... Merry Christmas

We were supposed to have chest to head high with E swells (breaking left) here in Montauk... instead knee high closeouts. Yeah I was dissapointed but I surfed for 5 hours anyway. My semester just ended so I needed to work out some stress. >_<

east swell is not real swell around here? kman you are a moron!! swell with east in it gives Li the best chance at really long lines.. there's no swell on li i know i know just like a couple threads ago where you said its been flat for months calling out people. meanwhile the remnants of ida dropped some the best swell in years on us.. that swell lasted for a SOLID week! i put the link up and it seemed to actually shut your yapper.. you really are a kook

i think you need to have mommy take you to the beach more often and you will be surprised..

have you ever surfed spot east that you mentioned on a straight east swell????????? not likely

hey kman... First of all, nobody's dissing swellinfo. They do a great job and are tremendously beneficial to those of us who ACTUALLY HAVE A LIFE (which would likely include a steady job, family, school, etc.) and don't have the money or the time to learn how to become meteorologists and chase the waves all the way to Jersey. Second, "Swell5" is right. E swells are clearly the best for long island. Anyone who surfs here would know that. Third, Matt has a point. Your English is as bad as your attitude. Finally, it has been my personal experience that those who call other people kooks are in fact kooks themselves.
