You might be able to tuff it out but its gonna be a challenge in Jan/feb,early March. It all depends on your tolerance and not only the water temp but also the air temp.2 mill hood seems kinda light. With the gloves and boots you should be fine.Ive been out in the low 40's (water temp) with 3 mill boots and I was alright.

you shoule be fine but I would get a thicker hood. I have gone all winter in 4/3 5 mil mits and 5mil gloves. only my feet didnt last more than 2 hours with the 5 mil boots

I always say its better to be hot than to be cold . Sometimes thicker is better. I all I use all winter is 5 mil losbster mits and 7 mil boots and a 5/4/3 suit. I am warm all winter long

one way to extend your boots' season is to wear polar fleece socks under them. it's like the trailer park version of ripcurl fire skin.

i went for a couple of winters in pretty much the same setup you have. not a lot of marathon sessions, but a lot of fun was had. be careful about wind--it'll chill you out fast.

get a decent 5 mm suit as soon as you can afford it. like matt said, 'tis better to be hot than cold.

    happy new year!

yeah Woody's Surf & Skate has those thermo layer socks and they help alot when you are using 5mil boots. I wanna get one of there long sleeve tops or one of those polar fleece tops Kona Sports in in Wildwood use to sell.

get a tight long sleeve under armour shirt to wear under your suit its pretty much making your suit thicker and warmer
