Most likely, if the company was purchased, those contracts were a part of the acquisition, remaining valid.

i thought you worked for swell info. You're here all day.
might like your job better and be more successful in sales if you weren't. just saying.

get your sales up before you make any moves. Then tell them you've been unhappy with how things are being run. You have a better hand to play with a better sales record and with your past management success they might offer to look into improving based on your recomendations.

If you work for a good company they will appreciate your honesty and loyalty.

Different circumstances, similar issue DP bruh - just found out today that the company that got sold and me with it 2.5 yrs ago is for sale again and new owners (one of them anyway) wants the fuck out. I left a career in law enforcement to get back to my roots and wrench. It was going pretty well and would be better given time, but now everything is in flux. I could be working til next May when the winter storage contracts are finished
Or i could be out of work if a real estate buyer is the new owner. Don’t know if I should be thinking of changing gears or stay the course and hope for the best until the bomb drops but I’m 47, a father and have bills to pay like everyone else... dont know how I’d change careers. The trap is I’m a jerk of all trades so I can float around and find work but being unstable like that is a lot harder now than in my 30’s. Just figured I’d put that out to you as some perspective.
I’m that guy - “champion of mediocrity” and now it’s caught up.

Sorry to hear about the uncertainty. That’s a tough one. What’s your gut telling you to do?

Honestly? I’m all fucked up. I shouldnt be because ive made it through bumpy times before and will never be unable to find a way to support my family. I’m just sick of always being hand to mouth. I’ve been blessed with some talents but they all revolve around my ability to get down and dirty - literally. I’ve had other jobs too that I was good at but the were always financially limited to whose dick got sucked or who knew the right politician. Neither one a strong suit of mine lol.
It’s just hitting at the wrong time too - but when is it ever the right one I guess.

I think what’s got me messed up is I usually don’t even blink at this stuff, and I’m like punch stunned right now and panicky cause I still don’t have my hands up and shits coming fast.

Thank you sir for that reminder. I just get hung up sometimes on the fact that BEING skilled at a lot of stuff, and please don’t read that as arrogance - case in my mind I’m just a blue collar slob, I haven’t done anything worth bragging about in my entire life. At least to me. By now I should be alittle more stable than I am...and truthfully, I’m falling apart hahaha so I’m being extra hard on myself I guess. Waaaahhhhh. I’ll suck it up.
What I really need is a fun session on my new bort!
But we all know I’ve got a few ass kickings coming my way before that happens. Sorry to have mini hyjacked DPs thread. Carry on

Take the advice and get your numbers up to strengthen your hand. And, while doing that, start interviewing for another company. I don’t like that the other guy who had the same years as you, was canned out of the blue.

Get moving on this. You can always turn down any job offers.

Any hitter has his slumps. When I get into one, I just remind myself it's not me, it's just temporary conditions, and they will improve. Just focus on the process, clean that up and success will come. Sooner or later, hopefully sooner. Like the swells LOL.

Faith is the opposite of fear, so have faith in your self and act bold.
