You are out of your fucking mind. America First has to do with positioning our Country (which includes all races) in front of the likes of China. China owns our debt, its time to reposition before communist tendencies take further root in the minds of Americans. Looks to me the communist run MSM has taken your mind to the depths of hell. You have some serious issues dude.

That's because the 'iconic american company" is now designing its bikes for the European and India markets. It's new line is designed to compete with the Yamaha's of the world. It's not a bad move considering the folks that made them an iconic company are now old, fat, and gray bearded (like myself). We are dying off. The old school Harley culture doesn't appeal to the younger folks like a speed burning rice rocket. They have already moved away from this original demographic and towards the RUB (Rich, Urban Biker) in this country and will now market that image (not outlaw) to the rising white collar classes in Europe and India. Most guys now get custom choppers built based on Harley or Triumph chassis. Harley is now about as Outlaw as a soccer mom.

There are no more outlaws in this country. They all dead, in prison, or chased underground by RICO statutes, the FBI, and ATF. All we are left with now are criminals (there is a difference between an outlaw and a criminal), cry babies, and grumpy old farts like me who have seen better days.

What exactly did O do to make the market move? I would argue monetary policy had more to do with the bull market than anything.

Monetary policy? Care to elaborate, that's a pretty vague term....

    Federal reserve’s actions.

And what did O do specifically?

i agree with what you say. times change and so do demographics. when i was young just about anybody that had a harley or a tattoo was an outlaw of some sort. that is far from the truth today. i still think harley is an iconic american company and i believe it is recognized as such all around the world.

but why does trump need to work to harm an individual company like he is doing with harley? if he was negotiating like ballyhoo claims then that could and should probably take place behind closed doors not in public on twitter. but trump is not negotiating. he is just butthurt because harley came out and said that it is considering moving some of its manufacturing overseas due to the tariff war that trump instigated. he has done the same thing with other companies and individuals that don't 100% kiss his ass. how does trump lashing out against harley or any other company benefit anybody?

yep we sure do. but the $12 billion bailout is to help make up for the export losses due to the tariff war that trump started. nobody in the usa is in danger of starving due to big ag not being able to sell their stuff overseas. in fact, if less is sold overseas then there is more for us.

‘Gottaeat’was somewhat tongue and cheek. I am not a fan of the bailout to the farmers but I’m a bigger fan of the bigger picture, which is to create better trade policy in general.

Wait, so you saying the FED is what fixed the economy? No doubt they played a part, but they were strongly backed by BO also (something our current president does the opposite of, denouncing the FED less than a month ago).

Initiated stress test for banks so they could not continue to give out toxic loans that they could not back up. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act with the extension of unemployment benefits. The 2010 Tax Cuts. Dodd-Frank. These were all things done to stop economic contraction and they all were successful to a certain degree.

No Obama didn't single handedly save us all, but his policies and support for the FED stopped the bleeding and laid solid framework for recovery.

All I am saying is it seems some are eager to give Trump credit for the same things they won't give BO credit for. The double standard is lame. Just like how everyone used to go crazy about Obama's executive order and deficit; but now those same people don't want to acknowledge Trump's issues with both. Just be consistent, all I'm asking.

fair enough. i would also like to see better trade policies. i don't think the way trump is going about it is the right way though. trump talking down american companies along the way is even worse. it helps nothing but it strokes his fragile ego.
