Has anyone here taken off spray paint from their surfboard? If so what did you use. I tried to look online but only found conflicting information about using acetone.

Use a light grit sand paper until you get to a fine grit like 400 or 600 and wet sand with that to get it smooth. Start with a grit of 125 maybe 150. Sand lighty to make sure you just take the paint off

first use a chemical stripper. it will take off the majority of the paint and then hit up the sand paper like stated above

At Ace hardware you can get Graffiti Remover. Its made by Goo Off. Takes Spray Paint right off. Just spray, let it sit for a few mins, take a brush or steel wool and just rub the area sprayed. Spray again and take a Cloth and wipe clean. http://www.goof-off.com/

... Make sure you do it outside or in a very ventilated area. The smell is strong. Will make you light headed after a while.
