Jellyfish stings..where is the worst place you've been hit?

On my first trip to Nicaragua I was getting stung by jellyfish almost every session. Generally just on my legs and forearms but on the biggest and gnarliest day there I took a bad wipe out and was being held under, to make matters worse while down in the abyss I got killed on my face, neck and arms by what seemed to be an army of them. I've also been gotten good by a man o' war before on my leg and had my foot blow up twice the size as the other one. Knock on wood, but it's probably been a good 5 years since being stung last. That sh!t sucks!!!

 

Directly in the eye. Instant pain and violent sneezing.

 

Idk how this happened to this day, but when I was a kid (prolly 8-10) I was body surfing in Ocean City NJ and had a tentacle wrap around my jawn-piece, or at least that's what it felt like. Freaked out and started crying like a little girl. My older cousin grabbed me and was trying to calm me down, but there was no calming down a little dude in that situation. It was throbbing in seering pain for the rest of the day and I still wear compression shorts in the ocean because of it.

 

When I was maybe 10 years old I had one caught in my bathing suit (which, of course, had the mesh liner) and I was screaming in pain. My mom ran down to the waters edge and dropped my drawers for me and started splashing water on my tiny, cold, freshly stung, pre-pubescent penis as literally every single person in the whole world watched.

Going to go home and cry now. Hadn't thought of that episode in years.

Today it seems the jellyfish are out for blood. i got several stings today ,both legs and one arm.
I didnt want another critter washing up on my board stingin the crap outa my leg or far worse ,it landing in my crotch so i bailed
As for the worse ,got to be the ol crotch full of jellyfish or paddlin though a wave and have it wrap around your neck

 

The flags are up for dangerous marine life

 

Wear some lycra around the parts and under the boardies cuz those nasty tentacles will just break off and stick to your skin
Other day a dude had a full black lycra suit on, he was hot but no jellyfish stings

 

Jellies were thick here a couple weeks ago. Son got zapped on his foot and leg pretty bad as he walked in. He toughed it out well. I've heard vinegar takes the sting out. Worst for me was the family jewels.

 

Yeah ballsack is bad
I think worse is the face and neck wrap
I hit my stings with vinegar water mix when i got home and followed with some baking soda and water wash
plus a tiny bit of alcohol used for pain management

 

The eyeball story is gonna freak me out tomorrow morning when im gettin ready to paddle out .......

 

It's like DMT dude, unbelievable intensity but short duration. The body is an amazing thing.

 

Pretty much the crotch and arm pits.

 

Got zapped over a week ago on my left lat still have a red irritated whelp. Think it coulda been a manowar! I think because I posted in this tread!
